I have been to the ponds many times. This year I decided to buy a membership I wanted to tell you about my experience so far this year.I have been to the course twice so far. The first time, I went to the clubhouse to check in and I listened to the guy behind the counter "Joe" complain in front of other people how he had to answer the phone and check in golfers at the same time.He answered the phone and to tell them to hold, only to never pick the phone back up. I thought he may be having a bad day until my second time at the ponds.I booked a tee time at 12:57 Easter Sunday with my son and four of my nephews. when we arrived.Joe told us he wanted to leave at 4:30 after complaining again about the phones. we got out on the course. When we got to our 10th hole at about 3:45 he came out on the course, told us he was going to close because the golf course was losing money by him being there. He told us we needed to return the carts because he was leaving.I do not understand how you can book a tee time for 18 holes and not let them finish. Some of us had to drive over a hour to get to the course. To top it off, he refunded our party over $150.00 because he wanted to go.The way I see it.The ponds lost a lot more money by making us leave. Its hard to understand why you would have a guy like that running your club house. I sure am going to re-think my membership for next year.

The Wife and I drove up from the metro area on a Sunday to play The Ponds just after lunch for the first time with some friends that live in this area. The course is average, nothing special and the staff seems to not have a clue in the Pro Shop. Not only will I never play here again I also will never recommend this course mostly due to the pricing. As it states on their website "We use a dynamic pricing strategy for our tee times." I guess this means overcharging for the caliber of course they provide. The 2 of us played only 9 holes with a cart and somehow with “dynamic” pricing this cost over $80. I initially thought that maybe it was just a mistake we were charged for 2 18 hole rounds and a cart, but sadly I was incorrect. The 2 of us frequently play several courses within the Twin Cities metro and pay 80-100 for 18 holes with a cart. One of our favorite Semi-Private courses in Woodbury charges $94 for 2 people playing 9 holes with a cart and it’s worth every penny. How this small town course can charge nearly the same rate for 9 when considerably nicer courses in a larger metro area can charge just slightly more for 18 holes per player with a cart is beyond me. This course is not nice enough to justify the price.

Have had a terrible experience so far this year!! The owner really needs to pull his head out of his ass and start realizing its more then just a few people that hes pissing off. Im a first time member and it was a great deal $300. But this membership is a $1000 dollar membership and there is no way you will ever get your moneys worth for that price if you like to play with a cart. There charging $18 dollars for the cart to play 18 holes. My buddy whos not a member was charged $25 dollars for 18 holes and a cart. Let me do some simple math here I would half to play 142.86 rounds of golf just to break even for a $1000 dollar membership. Now lets get to the staff that works there. The younger adults are excellent friendly and easy to get along with. The manager though wasnt very friendly. Accused me of playing on blue 9 when I was actually on the driving range. Ill be giving my money to a different course next year.

Recently purchased their new membersbip plan for 250 bucks great deal seems like up front.... however i have been out twice now and have discovered different- what they do is they more than double charge you for the cart if two are in the cart with cards they charge you 28 dollars.Cart fee is 12 dollars posted on line so after some investigation being because im a senior my normal price should be 20 dollars for a cart and nine holes 6 dollar difference now take that and devide that 6 bucks into my new 250 dollar membersbip means i have to golf appx 42 times this summer to break even- realy -dont think I want to know what they charge seniors. For beer lol

Dont waste your time, unless you enjoy playing golf in peoples backyards! it was my first time at the ponds, and it will be my last. I bought a groupon and when i checked in to play, the attendant charged another fee for tax, never had that happen on a groupon before. Condition of course was a 5 out of 10 at best, I wont be back! Not enjoyable!

Im giving this course a 4 for the sole purpose that it has water on nearly every hole and I always love a challenge and is the only reason I drove up there. The 27 hole course could just use some love and care to it. Its on many peoples back yards but the beverage cart made more rounds than Ive ever seen on a 27 hole course.

Tough course, for a infrequent golfer, but a nice course in general. Short 1 star as beverage cart did not come around until holes 8,10,17 and also stopped us on the green, rather then catching us at the tee box so it not only slowed our group, but the 2-3 groups that were behind us.

The maintenance crew must have been on strike this week. With the amount of grass growing into the cups they must have not been changed in a week. I didnt bring a sledge hammer to putt with out here. Theres so much potential for a stellar course.

Though it lacks elevation changes, the scenery of the surrounding wetlands and marshes provide some needed variety. The course was in fantastic shape, an I felt the price we paid was quite the value.

I loved this course. Pretty challenging, and it was in great shape. The new restaurant that they opened the day before was just OK for food, but I will go back to that course again soon.

Not for the faint of heart. Lost 12 balls. Very difficult course however better to play off the red tees. Lots of marsh areas to hit over.
