:) I came to the civic theater to see Frozen after the two theaters near Ann Arbor stopped showing the movie, and I have to say, I was impressed! This old classic theater has a very home-like feel to it. Tickets (classic ticket stubs) are cheap - only $4 (cash only). Employees are extremely nice (and have fantastic smiles). I havent tried the popcorn, however. They have awesome light-up movie posters and the theater itself is fairly-sized and clean. The seats are comfy and the screen is pretty big (half the size of the biggest commercial theater screen = about the same as most theater screens). Quality is pretty decent and the sound is great. Well worth the forty minute drive!

Great place to watch a second-run movie. The ticket prices are reasonable, so if you didnt really care for the movie, you are out $5. The ticket stubs can also be used for nearby establishments, so dont toss your stub away. We also love the vintage theatre look as opposed to those modern, mall-like theatres in the area. The best thing is that you are not pummeled by what seems like a never-ending list of previews. The showtimes listed are the actual start times, so dont show up 5 or 10 minutes late expecting to come in the middle of previews!

I had to wait for them to change pop line. They wouldnt change my drink or pour out the extra soda (no pop syrup because line was out). I was very mad and they said they didnt do refunds or exchanges. I understand cost, but it wasnt my fault the pop ran out. Last time i buy from concession stand. Havent been back since. I know 1 person doesnt matter. But i wad referred by friends. I told them, who passed along the word! Customer service and satisfaction. I wad impressed up until that point. Then it was movie with popcorn and soda water. :-(

This theatre might not have the state-of-the-art amenities of the larger, chain establishments, but it more than makes up for it in small-town charm. Comfort for some means a seat that tilts or massages or warms ones fanny at the touch of a button, but the Civic is perfect family fun. The staff are so personable, the screening rooms clean, the popcorn tasty and the whole place just reeks of wholesome Americana. Especially for the price, the Civic just cant be beat.

Our favorite theatre for many years now. Love the improvements the new management has made with the Dolby digital projection and 7.1 sound system. Appreciate the ZERO advertisements and previews that add 30 minutes to the movie time. Very reasonable pop and popcorn for 2 deals. Plus there are a bunch of fine eateries within walking distance.

This has been my go-to movie theartre for over 30 years. However, in the past few years, they dont change movies frequently enough and have now raised their rates to $5. Sorry to say that I am no longer excited and will have to look for another place to see shows

Wow! Clean theater, solid screen and sound, and all for five bucks! While the ticket prices may be a blast from the past, the concession prices are still as inflated as any other theatre. Loved the experience though and will be back again

Wonderful neighborhood theater. I love the nostalgia it offers. They offer free popcorn Tuesdays only during the winter I believe. Its so worth it. After some time has passed, you can catch huge blockbusters here for only $5 admission.

First of all, great prices. Amazing location downtown. Friendly atmosphere. Iffy parking but you can usually find a place if youre early. Seats are smaller than the newer places, but its still comfortable.

Really like this theater in the quaint little Farmington downtown. The movies here usually arrive a little late which is good since I can catch them here if I am late. Note that they only accept cash.

Very nice, quaint, historic movie theatre. Floors are sometimes a little dirty/sticky, but cant beat the price of admission! Definitely a great addition to any affordable night out, for any age!

Very nice movie theater downtown Farmington. It can only show 3 movies at a time, so the selection is not great but the price is good, so its still worth giving it a try.

Love going to the movies at the Farmington Civic. It takes me back to the Saturday matinees I went to when I was a kid. Even the concession stand has reasonable prices

A very good place to watch films. Though the screen is small, the picture looks amazing and it has the best sounds system. I would love to go there again.

Its quaint but no more so than the Redford or DFT. The thing that limits my patronage of this theatre is their cash-only policy. What is that about?

Classic vintage theater charm and cheep tickets. This is not an IMAX theater, so dont expect that quality. Neat museum on the second floor.

Second run films. Less expensive than the first time around and write in the middle of downtown Farmington.
