Ive been going to this theater since 1999 when it opened (still remember the 1st movie I saw was Green Mile with my Dad in screen 1). I have A LOT of good memories there...but I cant be too nice. Although I do respect some of the people working there (mainly a couple managers and Bob)...I also know that A LOT of people have been frustrated by the theater for a few big reasons. 1) Even when its a school vacation, or Summer, or a BIG movie just came out...we will get there 10 min early and there is a line out the door (because ONE person is at the box office)...sometimes nobody is there at all and I gotta look around until I make eye contact with someone so they come over. I always hear people complaining and shaking their heads. 2) The popcorn...its really dissapointing. Not only has the price gone up (and up, and up) but it is always stale because as Ive witnessed many times, its pre-bagged. Meaning when they need to refill on popcorn, they go into the back office, grab a large black trash bag, open it, and POUR the popcorn into the "popcorn machine" then charge you $6.50 for a small, and $8.50 for a large (which is why almost everyone sneaks in candy and drinks...even a box of candy which costs $1 at Stop & Shop costs $4.50 there) It is really too bad they like to really attack your wallets at the concession stands. 3) I know prices are going up, but in the last few years it went from Matinee prices being $7 (totally fair)..to $7.50...to $8.95 thats right...they didnt just raise it a quarter or even 50 cents...they said screw it...$8.95 (just enough so its not a full $9). For what? After the complaints I just mentioned, you would think they would have more staff, or pay them better, OR get a popcorn machine that actually pops popcorn...nothing improved. 4) Midnight movies...friends and I used to LOVE midnight screenings. Infact they would be very popular and make lots of money even for not-so-good movies. ALL because of that "Dark Knight" shooter, I guess every moviie chain became too scared and were affraid of ever showing another Midnight movie (a tradition) because ONE nutjob wanted to ruin it all (and he did...so he won). 5) Sometimes I see a movie Im REALLY anticipating (including The Dark Knight)...then it starts, and it is QUIET. Sometimes I wonder if its just me because not everyone notices but Im like "whoa...what happened with this sound? maybe its just the scene" then an action scene happens and an explosion sometimes sounds like its on Mono or something. I dont mean to sound like I dont like it there, Ive been going since Day 1, over 16 years. I just think it once used to operate MUCH better (better sound, bigger staff, faster paced, AND midnight screenings not ruined by 1 maniac..kinda wish they had the balls to bring back Midnight showings, it would get word of mouth and people would say "Midnight movies are back? YES!! LETS GO!"). Also...I think I realized that I mainly go there because its the best stadium seating the Cape has to offer. There is Heritage Theaters but those screens arent even that wide. The only other is in Kingston where they have RPX (but those prices are even higher...even if you arent seeing something in RPX). I will say, a good option is Entertainmnet Cinemas in Dennis (they have all-day matinee tuesdays) and...wait...nevermind because THEY just raised their prices too (but like Heritage, they actually POP their popcorn...not refill with old pre-popped popcorn). Bring back FREE POPCORN Tuesday and Midnight Movies (Popcorn Tuesdays was last good when it reached $1...now the deal on tues is $3.50...barely less than a small...for stale popcorn...so now Tuesdays dont lure me in like they used to, I can skip them).

Horrible experience. Recently just went to this movie theater and one of my friends forgot her ID. We are on vacation and away from home, the movie theater was 25 minutes away and we did not want to go back and get the ID, so my friend bought a ticket for another movie so she could sneak in like people do all the time. Now my problem isnt with the fact that they wanted us to go to our designated movies or that they follow the rules because thats normal and wed be okay with it. The terrible thing was the way they handled the situation. First off the kid at the front who was selling the ticket couldve told us that it wouldnt work cuz he knew exactly what we were doing and he acted like it was a good idea and then called the manager on us. Then the manager watched as we went into another movie and instead of approaching us and saying thats not allowed she screamed from the end of the hall in front of the entire movie theater "girl with the white shirt go to your designated movie theater" and then continued to scream at us disturbing not only us but the whole theater. We then told her wed just get a refund because we cant separate and she was like okay. As we walked away she said in her walkie "some kids are going back to get a refund one girl wanted to sneak into another theater" in an obnoxious voice just to be rude to us, and calling us kids just to upset us. When we got to the ticket box the lady at the front gave us back our money and I said thank you but my other friend was distracted and when she walked away the lady said "youre welcome" in a rude voice. the manager watched as we walked out the door while talking about us in front of guests. This story is long but Im just sharing my bad experience. Were not bad kids and had she just come up to us and told us we cant do that wed be okay with it because we know it was against the rules. So if any of the staff is reading this, dont work at a movie theater if you dont know how to be polite and treat people like BASIC HUMANS. Educate yourselves on how to treat others even when the person is rude (which we were not) or in our case breaking the rules. One thing I learned in my business class is that the customer is always right and you should never treat any customer as less because you need them to run your business. So maybe next time you should take a business class and learn exactly what us "KIDS" are learning today, which is respect regardless of age.

Regal Cinemas was a great experience for me. But first I will point out the first few flaws. First if you visit in the summer, they have the air conditioning set on blizzard, of course this really was irksome to me and a portion of people who have the same taste. The food is pricey, but how else are they supposed to try to take your money, and while on the topic of food, the popcorn sometimes is too oily and kind of makes it taste a little gross. Those are all my main complaints, but most are minor inconveniences. Lines are the main reason the service is mediocre, as the lines can get big when a movie just comes out, so therefore the service is not the best, but do well for the limited time they have to serve you. The snack bar is jam packed with great candies, foods, popcorn, and drinks all available at your fingertips. Every time I had to order, I always had difficulty ordering because I could never figure out what to get (I mean this a good way.) But most importantly the theater. Well, before that we should cover the hallways. Many previous reviews that came out before mine complained that there is never a person there to take your ticket, so there was no point in getting the ticket. Regal has fixed that as in my recent visits I have seen the person there, so I would say that those reviews are outdated. The hallways are long, and a little tiresome to walk all the way down, but it really depends on how old the movie you want to see is. Say if there was a movie that came out 3 weeks ago, compared to the movie that came out yesterday, the movie that came out 3 weeks ago would be closer to the back. Now to cover the actual theaters. Depending on how short the distance you have to walk, the theater can be large to pretty small, but the difference isnt apparent while watching the movie. Theres an exclusive,"First Look" if you get there early, where they show you in depth looks at tons of products. But my biggest problem was as previously mentioned, the air conditioning. They also clean the theater as soon as the movie ends, so its nice and fresh for the next people. In conclusion this is a great place to see a movie. I would definitely go again.
