Cinemagic in Westbrook is my go to theater in the Portland area. It has its own parking lot, which you would think is a given for a movie theater (The theater in downtown Portland does not have its own lot. There is a garage next door which the theater will validate the parking, but you still end up having to pay something to park). There is no IMAX at this location, but they do offer some movies in 3D. I always buy my ticket at the self serve ticket KIOSK. This way you dont have to wait in line to buy a ticket and deal with the clerk. The staff do a good job at keeping the showrooms clean. Ive never gone into a theater and seen trash on the floor or on the chairs pre-movie. The bathrooms always seem fine, they are your typical public bathroom stalls. There are plenty of them, youll never have to wait to use the bathroom. The concessions are your typical movie theater foods (popcorn, candy, soda, nachos, hot dogs). There is a dippin dots ice cream vending machine in the hall way. I actually bought the dippin dots once, it comes out in a little packet and its basically a frozen mush at the bottom of the packet. Definitely not worth the $4 or whatever it costs! Are the concessions wicked expensive? Yes. Do I still want a giant tub of buttery popcorn and giant soda to munch on during the movie? Yes.

The screen was large and the seats are comfortable. Dont sit too close to the screen, however, as the square pixels of the digital projector can be seen in the white areas. I sat in the middle of a row just forward of half way back and the pixels were still visible. In addition, there was some keystone distortion where the image was narrower towards the top of the screen. The theater was a little bit humid, but not uncomfortable. The sound was excellent and there are multiple speakers providing not only a full spectrum of frequencies but also providing audio in a physical location that matched the location of the dialog or action on the screen.

This theater is old and is showing its age. The rugs are not clean. There is popcorn all over the place because the rugs are not vacuumed. There is a musty odor. The theater seats are stained and some are broken. The picture quality is terrible considering that digital pictures are being displayed. I often go to a Regal Cinema in Newington, NH and the picture is far clearer. In fact, there were recliner seats installed in several of the theaters there. Its also cleaner and a much more enjoyable experience.

I frequent this theater three to four times a month and I am always satisfied with the prices, staff and cleanliness. Afternoon shows are a reasonable $8.95 with a wide range of concession choices offering free refills on large popcorn and large soda orders. Stadium seating offers an excellent view of any movie and every individual theater within this establishment has always be clean with quality viewing and sound. Staff is helpful and friendly. Its a good place to go se a movie.

Staff was ok. We asked for tickets to Rogue One and were told it was sold out. We went to an electronic kiosk only to find tickets were available. We asked a manager about it and were told they stop selling tickets when they reach a certain number but seats were still available. We purchased them from the electronic kiosk since the humans werent selling and went and watched the movie.

We go there any time there is a 3-D IMAX playing that we want to see. The very first we saw there was Avatar and "oh my God" we were just completely blown away. We go to the Westbrook, Maine Cinemagic for regular screen movies. Both theatres are kept in good shape and the crew is always helpful and cheery. Cant beat that!

Had called earlier to see if we could reserve tickets for the movie IT since the night before was sold out and the person on the fold told us it wasnt necessary and we should be fine to just come in and theyd still have plenty of seats. Came in 10 minutes earlier and it was already sold out. PISSED is all I can say.

Best option for films in the Portland area. Parking can be *really* bad when theyre busy. Ive parked in a ditch a few times for an opening night. Prices are rather high. Overall kept pretty clean though. I like that they offer "sensory friendly" showings for those that need them.

This Cinemagic is great, very reasonably priced. I love that it doesnt charge extra for 3-D movies for the showings they have available (usually 1 movie per week), though other theaters with IMAX 3-D do charge extra. Staffing is adequate. Parking is easy. Small arcade as well.

Always clean, always great customer service. They have so many screens that you can basically pick your movie and time without even looking at the schedule. Always just what youre looking for. And they offer more food than your standard cinema fare.

Friendly staff is ready to recommend movies. Clean theatres and bathrooms. Good options are what your would expect and prices are, of course, very high. But quality projection and sound bring me back for when I need to see the latest blockbuster.

We went to see Lone Survivor this weekend. Seating was in theater 10, which is right between the restrooms. Left after 3 minutes because the restroom smell had permeated throughout the theater and was making us sick to our stomach.

PROS: Great for 3D (but no IMAX). Clean, comfortable seats and decent prices for matinees. Plenty of Restrooms located close to all the theatres. CONS: Popcorn is not great and most of the snacks are overpriced like most theatres.

OVERPRICED!! $30 for 2 drinks a small popcorn and a nacho?? On top of the tickets over $50 for date night. Yea its big and comfy but lower your prices no wonder there is always a dollar store nearby to a theater.

Movie experience is great, we always smuggle in our own popcorn because yours is so awful. If you are going to charge so much for popcorn at least cook it correctly. And that yellow stuff IS NOT BUTTER!

Excellent staff, clean restrooms, respectful movie-goers. A great theater to take to the family or go by yourself. Stadium seating is very comfortable. The food is standard movie theater fare.

Only 3 out of 16 theaters have the captioning equipment for Deaf patrons to enjoy the films. Manager on duty had no idea of new regulations or when theater will come into compliance.

Stadium seating, great staff. Best air hockey table in the area. Theaters are always clean, and theyre totally cool to add extra butter in your popcorn if you ask! Wooooot!
