Close & easy to get to. Views of the bay & the islands off in the distance can be seen on a clear day. City lights off to the right are pretty at night. Watching the fishing boats go in and out has been a favorite activity for some of the older men for years. Not the biggest beach, but its clean for the most part and is family friendly. The lot closes early, (8pm?) But maybe they need to do that to keep trouble out. Besides the beach itself, there are tennis courts, a nice size park, and the fort with all its history to share with everyone. The evidence of cannon hardware creates a sense of curiosity in how people lived and defended our coast years ago. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets make for some amazing photography.

A little bit of everything in Fairhaven. You get some rock hopping, some running, and some beach. There are basketball and tennis courts on the premise. Bring a snorkel and some goggles because the sea life under the water is pretty diverse and visible on a clear day. Facilities? Bathroom and snack shop is open during the summer. But it is the fall, so all that is left is a fairly clean port-a-potty to squat in. There are stores about a mile up Main Street. So make sure to bring what you need!

The park has basketball, tennis, volleyball, picnic tables, public beach, bathrooms and a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is a nice place to take the family out for a enjoyable day at the park or rest and relaxation on the beach. You need to use water shoes or an old pair of sneakers due to the many small stones in the water. Plenty of parking.

The rocks make the beach impossible to walk on barefoot and it was loaded with broken glass, cigarette butts, condom wrappers and rubber gloves. The only thing missing was a few syringes...if you dare to venture to this beach, bring water shoes and make sure your tetanus shot is recent!!! I was very disappointed...and a little skeeved out. Gross.

Love this beach, I have been coming here my entire life. Miss the day of the Easter egg hunts, community events, miss my grandparents being there everyday to walk their dog, especially now they are gone. This place will always be special to me.
