Ive been here a handful of times and every time is a treat. When you think of a symphony hall you might think of stuffy old and boring classical music, but youd be wrong. Symphony hall not only features some amazing orchestral music (which might be considered by some to be old and stuffy), but they also host a multitude of entertaining solo performances by more pop culture artists; family fun events like the Pixar movie score night; and many more. The hall itself is beautiful and classic inside, without being too gaudy or grandiose. For some events they even remove the orchestral seats and set up chairs and tables while they serve snack foods during the performance! If youre in the mood for some city culture one evening, dont miss the opportunity to see whats playing at this great venue.

Absolutely exceptional experience. I attended the opening night of the Symphony 2016-17 season. The hall is a gorgeous building inside and out. The staff were exemplary. The cocktail food and drink before the show were all amazing. The Symphony Orchestra, under the Andris Nelsons, and featuring Lang Lang, was perfect and performed an emotional and technically astounding all-russian program. The seating in the hall is very comfortable, and all corners of the hall seemed acceptable for viewing. I whole heartedly recommend your attendance if youre able to fit it into your time in Boston.

Symphony hall is a beautiful old building, and I relish any time I can visit to hear the BSO or Pops perform. It is very classically styled when the BSO plays, and when the pops play, there are fun colors being projected everywhere. It was carefully planned and built with acoustics in mind, and in any seat in Symphony Hall you are hearing everything as perfectly as the traditional "best seats" in other venues. A true Boston landmark, and I highly recommend seeing a performance while there.

Beautiful venue, with helpful staff and well-maintained facilities. The bathrooms were clean even on a very busy event night. Easy access by public transit but there is also convenient parking across the street in the Christian Science Plaza garage. Have been here to see a reading, a stand-up show, and the Boston Pops and all were great experiences! Good sound and views, even from seats further back.

This estate is a historic gem of the beautiful city of Boston. When you step into the Symphony, you instantly feel transported to another time period of sophistication and flair. Its great to see that younger crowds have taken interest in the Boston Symphony, perhaps in part because of the 40 under 40 program that they offer. If youre visiting Boston, you should try to find a show to attend here!

What a gem this hall is! One of my fondest memories is performing a concert here while a member of the now-defunct Newton Symphony Orchestra. From a musicians point of view, it cant get much better; unlike other halls, you can hear yourself and the rest of the orchestra clearly, at the same time. And in the audience, the sound is unbelievable. One of the truly best concert halls of the world.

A little over a hundred years old. One of the first concert halls to be built utilizing scientific principals regarding sound in an enclosed environment. Result: among the five greatest acoustic venues in the world. Combined with the Boston Symphony/Boston Pops "Essentually the same orchestra and one of the worlds finest"- On their worst day, the experience can take your breath away.

This hall is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The Boston Pops is fabulous so even a tent with standing room only would be just fine to see such excellent musicians. The food served is bland and a bit pricey but the service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and very helpful. They do an excellent job of making everyone feel important. I will definitely visit often.

I could not have had a better time here! What I hidden jewel. Close to the T and reasonable pricing, this is now my new look how grownup I am-thing to show off to my friends with. Great building and friendly staff. Alcohol is pricey but that does come with the territory of such places.

Recognized as one of the great concert halls in the world. Home of fine performances by the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops, the Handel & Haydn Society, and many other great classical ensembles.

A great venue for live music, headlining the BSO for classical music and the Boston Pops for some lighter fare. Check out the 1st & 2nd balcony for less expensive seats that still offer a great experience.

I went the Boston Symphony with my band from school and we saw John Williams and I loved it. I cant wait to go to the Boston Symphony Hall again. There is so much history in one building, it is amazing.

This is a breathtakingly beautiful concert hall, with superb acoustics as well. I saw a performance of Mahlers Ninth here, put on by the BSO, and it was a wonderful experience.

Historic Symphony Hall. Have gone to several BSO performances which I have loved. Dress code is a bit all over the place, but most tend to dress business casual.

Beautiful building! Id never been to a symphony performance before, but this was great fun. They offer reduced price tickets to under 40s, so take advantage.
