This is what I put on my Facebook Page!!!>>>>>>>What a ROTTEN time at the movies! OMG!!!!! I hate Hoyts Nursery Rd!!!! Last week someone was drilling ....yes, power drilling while we were waiting for the movie to start.....I went and asked if he was going to be done by the time the movies starts and they said, "well, its morning and we do maintenance so he should be done in time" ......OK he was drilling all through the pre movies part and was still working when the movie started....we ended up getting comp tickets....OK< So we go today, we are sitting there and the movies is not starting...then are 5 min late...I get up and go tell them....,the know, someone is working on it......10 min late, someone else goes and complains......30 MIN LATER, the movie starts NO SOUND! Someone went and told them, after 5 min we get sound.....ok, should be the end of it right? NOPE! While watching the whole END of the movies, the Limelight previews are playing OVER TOP our movie and the entire ending! I asked for a manager and no one showed up! We did get comp tickets but this was ridiculous. OMG! I think we need to go somewhere else!

Overall a 3 but there were some issues. Theater was clean, but we were in theater 10 watching Star Wars and the bass speakers or something stage right was popping, not enough to be a real distraction, but still needs to be fixed. As for the snack line, when I first approached there was only a few people in line so I got behind a guy that was about done. Once he had his stuff the girl behind the counter left without saying anything. I figured she was off to get something and would be right back since her register was still on and she didnt say anything. About 5 minutes later she comes back and logs off her register, still without saying anything. By this point there were long lines at the other registers so no popcorn or snacks for me if I didnt want to miss the beginning of the movies. I know they make the majority of their profits from concessions, so they might want to remove their craniums from their rectums and work on customer service a bit.ome issues.

Normally this is our go-to theater, but after today I will drive the extra miles to go elsewhere. As we were walking up to the concession counter, one of the employees dropped a kids pack box onto the floor. Manager Tim picked it up off the floor and put it back on the stack. When I confronted him about it, he said he was going to throw it away, but if that was the case, then why did he pick it up and load it with the drink cup and candy? Disgusting! I watched him help a customer before actually throwing it away. If he had originally planned to throw it away, he could have easily dont that after picking it up off the floor. This is something given to our kids. Not cool, Tim, especially as a manager who is supposed to be setting the standard for other emploees.

This is my go-to movie theatre in the area. Its not the closest one, as the closest one is at the Arundel Mills Mall. However, I cannot stand driving there and fighting for a parking place. There is always ample theater at the Hoyts movie theater, and the movies are just pretty much the same. Whenever there is a movie to go to, my kids and I prefer to come here. It is easy to get to, not very crowded most of the time, and the prices are very fair. No problems with any of the snacks, or the popcorn, or the drinks. That said, all movie theaters will rake you over the coals for that kind of thing, so its not that much of a shock. Ive also been here for a birthday party, which is actually kind of interesting as there is an elevator upstairs for that kind of thing.

I used to go to this movie theater all the time when it first opened many years ago. This trip, I took my son to see Star Wars during the matinee. It was my first time back in probably two years. I was surprised by how clean a theater this old could be. Most of the other theaters in the area built around the same time are now hopelessly outdated, uncomfortable, and smell like ... well, they smell like old movie theaters (imagine the rancid butter and oil of decades of popping popcorn). But not Hoyts - it was remarkably clean, friendly staff, and comfortable. As my kids get older and Im able to return to the movies more often, I will definitely look forward to returning to Hoyts.

They post a notification at the beginning of each movie that anyone on there phone will be removed but when this happened to me there was a different story. The young person was asked nicely to please turn the phone off their phone...it took 3 times for her to finally turn the device off. Her boyfriend proceed to threaten me during and following the show. My wife went to get management and requested him to be removed... management asked them to leave and refunded their money. That is why it continues because there are no consequences for there actions. Hoyts should never post a notification that they refuse to enforce. Think twice before attending a movie here.

First time visit was perfect. Arrived a little early so walked across the parking lot to Wendys. Didnt see any ticket kiosks for purchasing tickets, but there was one to pick up tickets. Online ticket purchase is with a fee. Stadium seating, easy parking, very clean. Front floor was super-shiny, although near the front the screen towers a bit much--I wouldnt think it would be good for a 3D movie. We dont do the concession stand, so no idea on prices. Adult evening ticket (6pm) was $11.00, but thats about what all the other theaters are up to now.

Theater is presentable. Beware of the concession! They promise refills if you spend $13.00 on their combo of soda & popcorn; just dont try to refill during your movie. The policy as stated by the Manager is that you must get in line for the refill even when the line is 15 people deep. Its not worth missing 20 minutes of your movie; therefore not worth the added expense to purchase a "refill"! Stick with AMC, they will refill at the counter and let you get back to your movie without delay.

My first trip was from a Groupon purchase I went to a Friday matinee it was pleasant. Went back again the next day to see a different movie and the staff was rude the line for concessions was long and I had subscribed to their newsletter for a free popcorn and they wouldnt give it to me bc I wasnt printed out like its not 2016. Smh Im all for spending money on snacks at a movie but to not give me a free popcorn when Im spending 20$ on other snacks is ridiculous.

Even though this place is crowded on Friday and Saturday nights I can say that the lines move rather quickly because they are well staffed at the ticket Booth and at the concession stand. Movie theater is very quiet and the seats are somewhat comfy. Im giving it *** only because the bathrooms needs a lot of help. Toilet paper is always out and there is trash on the floor and there are never any seat covers in the stalls either
