I was really angry and upset about my experience at Regal Hyattsville, MD. My friends and I were going to see 9:15 unfriended, and there were five of us. The first one bought the ticket to that movie, then the following one and I said the same, but I we didnt checked the tickets since the first one got it right. However, after the guard let us in, we realized the movie on our tickets was Cinderella, whose time overlapped with unfriended. When we were going back and try to ask some questions in front of that Unfriended auditorium, the manager person or whatever stopped us, and he didnt even give us time to explain what happened, and he said, quote the same word"you guys have caused enough trouble, out!" I was so pissed at that time already, but I didnt want to make a scene there, so I stepped out. Because the other three friends of us have got in, we tried to buy the right tickets. While we were in the line, the manager guy showed up again and scowled us to get out. Since we are international students here, our speaking English is not very smooth, we didnt stand a chance to argue with him, especially he brought the security with him, so we left. I get it he thought we might wanna see two movies with one ticket. But the time of those two movies were totally overlapped, which makes his thought completely impossible. And seriously, do you really think that we spend tons of money to pursue advanced education here only to save 10 bucks on this? What really pissed me off was that he wasnt listening us from customers perspective and being super unreasonable. And I quote from the barbarian manager who said " YOU THINK YOU GUYS ARE SMART RIGHT? " while literally kicking us out and almost getting hands on us. From the reality that we are getting our masters degree in UMD, yes we are smart, but clearly not smart enough to deal with such a zealous customer service. Good for you Mr. Manager, have your people sell us the wrong tickets and letting us in only to catch us off guard and kick us out brutally when we were nicely and patiently trying to explain, even be forced to admit that its all our fault and asking if we can repurchase when you were insanely yelling "OUT!!!" at us. Yes we are just international students and seem to have no options but letting you treat us this way, and I know that you said " Its OK! Just OUT! " when we mention that we will never go back to Regal again, still we will try our best to broadcast your services in our university. I only hope that you will not do those things and scout those words to a younger kids next time. And good luck to every customer intending to go to this cinema, be prepared to get yelled for the mistakes they made.

My first experience with this theater is rather bittersweet. Sweet because of the validation of parking and condition of the theater. However, my bitter experience has made me want to never return. The customer service from the concessions area was nothing short of deplorable. They say that one bad apple spoils the whole bunch. This phrase serves true to my experience. The service of your employee Summer needs to have a major overhaul. She was rude unprofessional as well as another employee whom was adamant in striking conversations while she was to be a service of me and he on break. Summer constantly yelled across the lobby to ask when others were going on break and how she was ready to leave. I had to debate multiple times about asking for a different bag of popcorn due to the front bags being cold. Instead of her professionally resolving the matter, I was greeted with eye rolls, snickers questions of "what for" and yells to the other staff about not closing the heater doors. I even had to beg for a tray to carry my items in and was given a plastic bag that in turn made my popcorn cold again. In the end, it took another employee to come to my rescue due to the fact that the male employee would constantly state that he was "on break". Unfortunately I do not know the of neither male employee, but the kind employee was a taller gentleman of the Latino culture. I am pretty certain that you strive to ensure that each patron has a good experience, but at the risk of sounding redundant, I will not return.

I have been going to this theater for years it is generally good but I am giving it a one star because for the six years I have been going there the time it takes to get popcorn and a soda is ridiculous and they have not fixed the problem. Make sure you get the at least 45mins early if you want to see the start of your movie and want snacks. The worst is when you are waiting in line forever and see the manager just walking around not helping out. I realize the are not a restaurant but they should take some cues from one. Stop having the cashiers run around grabbing items print a ticket and have a dedicated runner(s) fill orders. Also open your mouths and communicate so individuals can grab multiple things and not have to make multiple trips. I dont understand how they have not fixed this problem after so long. Literally with less people you could provide faster service with just a few simple changes.

This is a fine place to go see a movie. Its never been crowded when Ive gone (though I rarely go to opening nights) and Ive not had to wait when I needed to buy tickets. I wouldnt say that there is much special about this place (the screens arent particularly large), but at least the staff have been friendly each time Ive gone. The theaters themselves have been a bit dirtier when Ive visited (quite a bit of food on the floor), but nothing to turn me away from a particular seat. This theater has a good location, at least. There are several restaurants nearby for dinner and the area continues to expand even more. Parking is not an issue, though the garages are your best best. Just remember to validate your parking ticket!

I only went to this theatre because it was close to my apartment but now that Ive moved, I dont plan on ever going back. The place is overrun with teens so good luck having a peaceful movie-going experience. I went to see a horror movie and kids were in the top row yelling throughout the previews and didnt quiet down when the movie started. I asked the manager to speak to them and he asked what I expected and told me Id run into that problem everywhere. No, I wouldnt if you had an usher tell the kids to hush or get out. I never get concessions because a friend ordered a hot dog and the bread was moldy. Instead of a refund, they offered him vouchers for more of their moldy food. No thanks!

They always burn the popcorn, are always understaffed (so you have to wait in line for 15-20 minutes), and the concessions are arranged in the least efficient way so it takes them forever to get a bag of popcorn. Its also really annoying that the back row is so far away from the row in front of them so you cant put your feet on the seat in front of you if nobody is sitting there. The seats arent very comfortable and the arm rests dont fold back all the way so they always stick out a bit. Its also sad that they dont do student discounts... first theater Ive been to that didnt do student discounts.
