Danny Foret is a great photographer who captures the plantation and its grounds fabulously. His work can be found here and is for sale. This place is abundant in history. They have a lot of colorful antique tractors on the grounds for you tractor buffs. They sell feed for the animals which are fascinating to watch. They filmed Angel Heart and Ray on this plantation and driving through is a remarkable experience in its own. I bought some homemade goodies and have received a request for another jar of their delightful carrot cake jam which everyone was raving about.

We are Italian and we ended up there for luck. The man who worked there was friendly, had a cat named Shadow and we printed pictures of alligators. We would like to have the email address to send the photos that we have made of that beautiful place. Guard it carefully two pairs of earrings that I bought them ... wonderful memories! I love to go volunteer at Laurel Valley Village Store and they have great jams, jelly, and honey. It is great for younger children to feed the animals. There is great places around the plantation to take pictures. Over all it is very fun!

Such a fun and engaging place to experience history ... For FREE! The kids loved using the antique phone and climbing onto the train caboose. Seeing the slave and sharecroppers quarters was compelling.
