Very calm, quaint museum with a simplistic and rustic set up. Provides a nice little overview of the Lewis and Clark expedition and has a great outlook over the river. Good place to stop for an hour or so with a partner, friend, or kids. The gift shop is well stocked with fun souvenirs and books. I found some nice arrowhead and crystal jewelry, if you are interested in collecting them. The owners and operators are very friendly and sweet, and so is their elderly dog. Stop by for an easy, relaxed summer afternoon activity.

Within this establishment is an authentic replica of Lewis and Clark used. Its not unusual for it to be missing. The typically means a movie is being made and the boat is on loan. This at least what I have come to understand. I do know its been lent to Disney for movies.

Costs $5 for adults and $2 for children. Basically just one large room with diaramas and stuffed animals. There was some historical artifacts, but mostly it felt like a poorly executed museum. A stark contrast to the quality museums in St. Louis which are mostly free.

Was ok stop. Gave kids a sheets to hunt for animals. Unfortunately didnt leave us much time to look kids were bored. Had a display with villages etc but so juvenile. I could have done a better job. Place was clean and worker was very friendly.

Relics of days gone by being preserved and taken care of. In this amazing little (rather large)museum there are awesome ships for one to behold. If your are into that sort of thing.

Not sure its quite worth $10/person but they need to keep the lights on and such so Im okay with it. Nice display for history buffs. Would pair nicely with the Melvin Price museum.

A great little gift shop is upstairs, they sell reasonably priced stuff and also water for those hot days! They had a lot of history books on the local area, too.

Very nice L&C exhibit right on the Missouri River. Kind of hidden though, so be sure to seek it out just off the main street of shopping in downtown St. Charles.

A beautiful museum on the banks of the Missouri river! The volunteers are all very knowledgeable and the replica keel boat is pretty amazing to see first hand.
