Very nice maritime history of the area. Its free with a place for donation. We gave $5 for out group of 5. This stop is a 5 to 10 min walk from the main areas of Bayfield. So its worth the time to take a quick tour and take in the history. Total Time in the museum will take you as little as 10 mins to 1 hour if you read everything. Conclusion: its worth a stop and its free.
Worth the visit if youre strolling around in Bayfield. Interesting section on fishing traps, shipwrecks, knots and boat building. Look for a tiny wooden boats maker shop just behind the museum!
An interesting collection of historical maritime memoribilia that interprets the long history of the Bayfield area.
Open Seasonally: Weekends in June, Weekdays until Labor Day, Weekends in September. Great little museum!
The host was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Thank you for the history!
Worthwhile if you have an interest in the nautical history of the area.
Alittle bit of history and info.
