The Celebration Farm is stunningly beautiful. For pictures and location you cant go wrong. The staff prior to the event was very helpful. However we were told somebody would be there on the day of to help us set up electronics. We were hooking an iPod into their sound system for wedding music. Unfortunately, on the day of Pam told me that she didnt know how to set up the sound system with "outside equipment" I was left to set it up myself despite the cables and sound board all being their equipment. Later in the evening we noticed the staff trying to "help" clean up by taking all of our drinks and dumping them out while we were dancing. I lost several drinks myself and when they were caught taking away the wine glasses we rented at about 10:00 we were told to "drink out of plastic cups" despite renting the place until midnight. Overall, the venue itself deserves 5 stars but the staff on the day of deserves 1 star only for helping to clean up at the end of the night. They otherwise seemed like they were just trying to get out of there for the night. After the wedding I emailed Elizabeth to express my concerns. She seemed to disregard my points on the staff taking our drinks and told me: "Our staff is taught to be helpful to each group, and rarely is the help not needed or used. Several groups in the past have thanked our staff for being so helpful because it makes the clean up at the end of the night easier for all." This is true we did appreciate their help at the end of the night. But the help during the event was not helpful. Its hard for me to say anything bad about the venue itself. However, before your event be very clear with the staff what you do and dont want the staff to be doing for you. Matt and everybody before the event were great. Those there on the day of were not so great and made for added stress on a day when you dont really need any added stress.

My wife and I got married here in July of 2016 and the experience couldnt have been better! The staff was exceptionally helpful, and provided a wonderfully personal service. We really felt like they were there for any questions or things that we might need. The venue offers an enormous array of different options to make your day easier. They can provide everything in one place to do away with the hassle of returning tables and chairs to one place, decorations to another, etc. The venue was beautifully decorated and was one of our photographers favorite shoots. It books up well in advance because of its high demand, but the celebration farm was well worth the wait! They accommodate from small to large events making it a great place to host just about anything! Offering a full kitchen, our catering was happy to have the use of their space. Tons of convenient parking and easy directions right off the interstate made it a cinch for out of town family and friends to find! I cant think of anything that could have improved the experience. I enjoy going to wedding receptions and other events in both barns. Both barns are beautiful, with just enough parking, and they arent too far from Iowa City. My only complaint is the lack of AC vents in the smaller barn (the red one)--it made for a hot night of dancing at a reception. The venue must be affordable because I have been to all sorts of events here.

I was in a wedding here yesterday and I have to say it was beautiful. The venue was perfect. And the people were so nice and accommodating. The tables and chairs were already set up to our specifications. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone for their wedding.
