A very wonderful experience! Carousel winery is a bit off the beaten path, and that is part of the charm. So unless youre someone who doesnt enjoy exploring 6 miles through the back roads of IN, its a unique and fun adventure to get to this winery. GPS is valuable, a call ahead to the winery is also advisable. However, its most definitely worth the drive, as youll leave the rustic paved road, to enter the gravel road leading up to the winery. The winery is a no frills metal building, located close to the owners home. This is a smaller scale winery, in that its not one of those hugh and unfriendly complexes, where employees have fully replaced the original owners. The owners here are fully involved in the day to day operations of the business, and production of their wines. And this is another reason this winery is such a gem, how often does one have a personal interaction with the owner at most other wineries. Marion & Sue, the owner/operators, are a beautiful senior couple, who truly pour their hearts and soul"s into making supreme quality wines. It shows immediately in conversation, and is very evident when you taste their incredible wines. An important note here, is that although their facility is somewhat small in comparison to the larger wineries, their expertise is very large. By this statement, they have won many many medals at wine competitions all over the world. So their wines are truly supreme in quality! They have a wine/wines to match anyones palette, from dry to sweet, made from grape and other fruits. Let me repeat, do not be fooled, or put off by the drive to this location, for you surely will have passed on an amazing gem of a find in a winery. One could even say, that they are a treasure in the rough, so to speak. So very very worth the trip! Me and my wife arrived here early on Thursday 08/24/17 evening, we had just missed their hours, and the winery was closed. Sue was in the process of loading up their trailer with cases of wine, to attend an Indiana festival over the coming weekend, where they would be sampling and selling their wines. She re-opened up her winery to us. How many establishments would do this? She never made us feel rushed, as we were obviously keeping her from her loading. We enjoyed at least a 45 minutes to an hour of conversation with this charming lady, as she poured us a sample of every one off her wines. We took notes of each sampling, and there wasnt a single wine that wasnt superb. We ended up buying a case and a half of her wines. Me and my wife have bern to hundreds of wineries through the years, and seriously this winery is second to none. On every one of our annual driving vacations to different states, which weve taken during the week of our wedding anniversary in late August, we make a point to visit at least two or three wineries, often more. At these various wineries, well sample and select a minimum of a half a case at each. Weve been married for 36 wonderful years, and not every year have we taken a drive vacation, as weve also traveled to other countries. And I have to say that carousel is by far one of the best, if not the best finds in a winery. Their motto could easily be... "Hard to find, tough to beat". Wed definitely recommend to everyone, to check this winery out for yourself! ~ David & Susan, Naperville, IL

Just opened a petite sirah from 2003 for my sons graduation. It is still wonderful and as we enjoyed this phenomenal bottle as we reminisced about Sue and Marion.
