Ive been going to Oliver for as long as I could drink! I cant have beer and most wines... Allergies and such... I drink cider and sweet wines. I have always loved Olivers apple and fruity wines! They do an amazing job with them! I havent found another winery that does such a great job and in some cases even makes fruity wines! We went down to Brown County for the day on Thursday (before Christmas to see the lights and shop). We stopped in the Hob Nob for a late lunch (always a great place to eat!) and they had four flavors of Oliver Hard Cider... Wait! When did this happen?! I know I live in the Chicago Burbs and I only get out here to visit Oliver a couple times a year, but Ive lost touch! So my mom and I try the Apple & Peach... OMG! We were in love! If these two were this great, what about the other two?! We had no plans to visit Oliver originally, but you can bet your bottom dollar that dad turned the car towards Bloomington and we were off! The experience at Oliver is always warm and inviting! It may be cold outside, but once you step through those doors to the shop and tasting area you already feel better! The sommeliers are always knowledgeable on the wines. I am loving the new hard ciders! My favorites are the Peach and Raspberry! My boy likes the Raspberry and Strawberry. The bottles are great! Each one has its own tale and fun drawings to go with it. I have to save at least one each of them to use as a vase or something! Oliver Winery is a must stop especially if youve never been there!

The wine is just OK, but the main point of this winery is the "experience". Its beautiful inside and out! The tastings are not free, but affordable and generous. During the summer they have lots of events, special tastings, food, and music, but you have to get there early, as it gets incredibly crowded. After the tasting, I would recommend getting a glass of your favorite with a few bites from the deli, and heading outside to sit by their beautiful pond. My favorite part is their garden, where almost every plant has a name plaque, kinds of like a botanic garden. Overall a very nice place for a quick visit or a leisurely afternoon.

Dry wine drinkers may not like Oliver Soft Red but I discovered it a couple of years ago while shopping for red wines for my health. I tossed out or gave away several bottles of other wine until I found Oliver. It is the most delicious, fruity sweet wine I have ever tasted. Ive spread the word in our small central Ohio community and wouldnt be surprised if sales in our area have skyrocketed! Everyone Ive shared with have agreed that it is a tasty, friendly wine. My mother-in-law and I will drink nothing else! One request....could you bottle it by the gallon?!!! Just kidding...well...not really!

Oliver is more than a winery - its an experience! I attended the Winter Glow on Tuesday and everything was done RIGHT! There were 5 different bars open for tastings and the outdoor seating area was heated. Hot soup, mulled wine and Tawny Port Pecan Pie was available. The live a Capella Christmas carols were the final touch. Its easy to get to from Indianapolis and points south. As far as Indiana wineries go, this is by far the BEST. My personal favorite wines are the Shiraz, Merlot and Gewurztraminer in addition to the Tawny Port (makes an awesome Creme Brulee).

Oliver wine is the best wine I have had for the resonable cost. The Soft Red is my absolute favorite. I have served it to a number of people that say they hate wine and now they are converts. I dont typically like sweet wine but for Soft Red I make an acception. I and my family live in Ohio so we stock up whenever we are in town because they cant ship across state lines. I have even had those converts ask me to bring them back some. I was so excited to find it in my local Acme Grocery store recently. The Camelot Mead is also very good.

Love the atmosphere and the vibe at Oliver Winery. Also, their Oliver Soft Red is the *only* red wine I will drink. I have tried many other similar category red wines and no other comes even remotely close to OSR. When I want to shake things up and have a summery carbonated adult beverage, I fill a glass half full of chilled OSR and the other half chilled Ginger Ale (my preference is Diet Ginger Ale). Yummy and refreshing!

Great wines. Service could be a tad better, but to be fair they were pretty busy. The wide selection makes this place enjoyable for any wine drinker, whether you prefer dry reds or whites, off-drys, or sweet dessert wines - they have it all, and then some. I recommend the Gewürztraminer (if youre an off-dry drinker like myself). But go check it out for yourself! Worth the drive from Indy, Bloomington or Columbus!

The facility and location are beautiful. However, the guests inside the the store and tasting room are extremely loud and out of control. It is not a quiet family atmosphere at all. Did enjoy seeing the wide selection of nicely priced wines, but had to leave due to noise inside the building. Was not aware that screaming and shouting around the tasting bar was all part of a good time (????).

The one thing I miss since I moved out of Indiana. Such a great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a wonderful selection of wines. For $5 you can do a tasting, and you get to try a lot of different wines. The outdoor area is beautiful, and the free tour is fun. I am glad they distribute nationally, so I can find some of their more common wines in stores. I love their sweet wines.

This is one of the most beautifully landscaped wineries imaginable! They offer a good selection of dry and sweet wines, mead as well as ciders and a few ports as well. Prices are very fair and they offer discounts when you buy in bulk. Very knowledgeable staff. They also have a respectable cheese selection. Not touristy.

The grounds are beautiful for being directly beside a major roadway. The wines were not my favorite; however, they are priced affordably for Indiana grape/fruit growing. The ciders are nice! I asked several winemaking questions and didnt feel the bartenders were too prepared to answer them. I would go back.

i have not yet visited the winery (which i will be making a special trip to as soon as weather permits), but the sweet red they offer is AMAZING! i personally care for sweet reds and moscato, and this is number one on my list! i swear it tastes like very decadent grape juice, it is just to DIE FOR! <3

The standard wines are pretty not great, but as far as the sweet ones and the ciders, theyre pretty delicious and affordable. The location is also great; customers can have a glass of wine near the pond. The lines for trying the wines are just too long (my group waited more than 40min.)

Have not been to the Winery yet but plan to visit soon. I was at the Grub in Osgood and had your Oliver Soft Red and I will be up to purchase some. And look forward to trying other ones! Right now the Oliver Soft Red is my favorite. I really wish you could ship in Indiana!
