An interesting little brewery and bar tucked into an out-of-the-way location. Cool architecture in the "post-retro hipster warehouse" vein and an absolutely fantastic front porch set-up on two floors for spectacular urban skyline views. Quite drinkable beers and nice small plates from the kitchen. The Southern Wit (TBWs unfiltered Belgian White) is tasty, but better left for a late-afternoon/warm-sunshine quaff. The Cutaway IPA is everything an IPA should be, with the bitterness of the hops nicely balanced by a little bit of grapefruit. It sounds like too much, but its perfectly done. They dont appear to keep a brown ale on tap, which is too bad. Nashvilles grown into quite a beer town in the past three years. Tennessee Brew Works appears to be doing a great job of introducing new flavors in a super nice see-and-be-seen location in the heart of the reborne SoBro district.

First, let me say that I’m shocked I hadn’t heard about this place until now. Apparently they are relatively new. But after going into their tasting room, meeting the staff and sampling several of their beers, you would never know it. These people clearly love beer and it resonates throughout the place and in every single brew I tried. I found it even more amazing how they showed a tremendous affection for the other breweries in the area too. Such a great community! Live music was playing while we were there…let’s not forget it’s Nashville, so you know the music was amazing! Somebody put a lot of love into designing this tasting room space - it’s awesome! Through glass windowed walls, you can see the ENTIRE brewery from the tasting room. As for beer…I tried the Extra Easy, Country Roots and Basil Ryeman — WOW! Do yourself a favor and check them out asap!

Two words. Fish. Taco. The beer idea good too. We stopped at another brewery before here because of the construction around the Tennessee brew works and were concerned about parking. After drinking a flight at the other place we decided to come back here. It was a great decision. We ordered the fish tacos, chips and dip, and a side of fries. Im not afraid to say that this is the best fish taco Ive ever had. The side of fries were good, tho we had some spicey chicken for lunch and the fries were spiced similarly and turned us off some. The chips and dip were good, but salty. The dip offset the BBQ and saltiness making a good combo. There was a live band and there atmosphere was heard. We sat outside on the patio most of the night. Not very crowded and definitely the best stop so far on our Nashville trip.

This is a small little place with big flavor! Wednesday nights are 2-for-1, and they give you a ticket to use on your second drink. The food was amazing! I had the burger and was blown away! The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy, just how I like them. Im only giving 4 stars because they were out of one of their unique beers (part of why we went) as well as the grilled cheese (no idea why). Im also only giving 4 stars because the upstairs bar tender was a bit rude and we have no idea why. She threw down change at my friends when checking her id as well as avoided us. It was really strange. Also, though they dont close until 10pm, they started kicking us off the patio before 9:30pm. That was a bit annoying. Otherwise, great place (until its awesomeness is discovered and it gets too trendy!)

I really like this place. Very nice vibe, lively, friendly cheerful staff and people, good food and good beer (and they have wine), pleasant surroundings, nice music. The one drawback is that when they run the credit card you are given three options: 20% tip, 25% tip, or "custom amount". This really is a turn-off. Im glad to give a good tip, but I do not like being pushed, particularly with 20% as the minimum tip. Particularly since you have to go to the counter to order, so its not like they are doing a lot of work. Also, you are tipping before you have been served or received the food / beer. Also, parking is an issue.

TBW is awesome in so many ways. I walked over from the Omni Hotel and had the best beer since we arrived in Nashville. Not too surprising as Im from Colorado, and so is the brew master - where microbreweries have been a huge success for decades. TBW is a super comfortable place, too. But they went beyond all expectations. I left my coat, and only realized after getting back to Denver. I called, and they mailed it AT THEIR COST to me! Super nice. Check this place out for a great time with great folks.

This place gets 5 stars from top to bottom. First and foremost, the beers. Rich and inventive, super tasty. Cool brewhouse - doubles as a Nashville music venue. A great place to hear some fine country music and sip some brews. Management - Christian Spears runs the place with his brewmaster (or mistress?) Laura. Very knowledgeable people and couldnt be nicer. I think this is the best of the many fine breweries in Nashville. Do yourself a favor and head that way. Go thirsty.

Came here with my husband and teen daughter. My husband really enjoyed the beers. We sat outside on the lower patio which had a really nice vibe. We had a vegetable plate to share and it was a bit awkward. Some of the vegetables were a mystery to me and the sauce they came with was odd tasting. It definitely was not worth $12. One of the best parts of the experience was the music. Lots of Bruce Springsteen. Some deep tracks. So that was great.

Food was amazing, service was terrible. Sat down for dinner, our server told us we had to eat quickly because they had a reservation for that table. Reservation was for 90 minutes later. Were rushed through our meal and out the door. Tried to tell the manager, he responded by saying he would support his server. We ate, paid, and left with 40 minutes to spare before the reservation...hope their next table has a better experience

TN Brew Works has been a gift to Nashville, TN! It has a fantastic location contributing to the stretch of local craft breweries. The beer is wonderful, the food is creative and made in house, and the music is some of the best in Music City! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to welcome new comers and remembers their regulars. Entertaining games and darts are also available! Great for a date night or a group hang out!

The options on the beer are excellent. There are plenty of choices to suit everyone. The beer is what you come for but the food is what makes you come back. There is an unlimited amount of options on the menu and every single one I have tried has tasted as though it was from a 5 star restaurant. The 5 beer Cheeseburger is always my favorite, but I am yet to find something that I didnt like.

Really nice people. Their facility is top notch as well. I attended a trivia night here and I was impressed with the bar area. Theres a downstairs bar and an upstairs bar and both serve a handful of Tennessee Brew Works beers on tap. Most of their beer is pretty hoppy though so if youre not a fan of that, you may want to go elsewhere. This is a great place to host events.
