Howe Roads Mnoke Prairie Parking area provides access to the floodplain of the Little Calumet Prairie, Mnoke Prairie restoration and the Bailly Homestead. Take an hour to two in the spring to see the wildflowers carpeting the flood plain. Come back in the summer and bask in the sun up on the Prairie as it comes into bloom. Or walk among the 150 year old building of Joseph Bailly, an early homestead in these parts.

Going to the Dunes Learning Center, 700 Howe Rd, Chesterton, IN 46304 for group outings are highly engaging and educational. All from my group thoroughly enjoyed their time here and their overnight stay in the cabins. The staff at the Dunes Learning Center were awesome and the experience of the night hike was the highlight for most of my group. I look forward to going back again in the future.
