Terrible service from staff and owners!!! My fiance and I are more than disappointed in the service we received from the staff at Shores of Turtle Creek. While I understand there is a contract stating no refunds on deposits, I believe giving OVER a years notice that we would like to cancel should count for something and we should at least receive 50% of our deposit back. That is our hard-earned money! Also, the date we chose is in off season for weddings, not a popular month like June, July & August. Also, note, that the Shores of Turtle Creek had nothing invested in us. We never did any planning with them nor was there any staff hired because our wedding date is so far away. There is plenty of time to rebook the date. Aside from them refusing the refund, we were spoken to very poorly over email and more so, on the phone. The emails I was sent by Anna were unprofessional, as well as the phone call I had with the owner himself. He hung up on me while I was still speaking!! Terrible business practice if you ask me. All he said was "I have nothing else to say to you" and hung up, even though I was still clearly speaking on the other line. When my fiance called him back, the owner told him that he still wants to do our wedding, even though we clearly stated we are not having it there. We have chosen to get married at a courthouse to help save money. We are not taking the money and spending it at another location, which is what he made it seem like. Even if that were the case, it is OUR money. Not theirs. To add to this, the owner accused me of "blackmailing" him, because I told him I was going to write a review. Reviews are not blackmail, they are to let other potential customers see if this is the right place for them and to inform businesses on what they are doing right and wrong. Its safe to say I will not be recommending you to anyone I know.

One of the worst consultations that I have ever wasted my time on. I exchanged a few emails looking for a date for a daytime brunch event to host 100 guests this summer. She told me the date was available and sent me pricing options. At our consultation, the manager learned it was for a wedding reception and she refused to give me the previously quoted party rate and stated they have an image to uphold and would only sell me the wedding package. It was all a bunch of nonsense to force me to pay money I didnt want to spend. She was completely inflexible and rude. Her sales skills were atrocious. She probably could have saved this sale easily if she were willing to compromise. This woman is 100% about herself and could not care less what the customer might want. Beware.

We couldnt have asked for a better venue!! The Shores of Turtle Creek fit us perfectly. It was a joy to work with Anna, she was very professional and genuinely cared about our special day. I believe we were the first same-sex couple to get married here, but they treated us like everyone else, which was perfect. As an anxious bride, there is nothing more you want than to have a stress-free day and to know it is all handled. Thats exactly what Anna and her staff provided. Could honestly give this place more than 5 stars if it was possible. Definitely worth checking out. The price may be a bit higher than others, but I promise you it is well worth it!!! Our guests are still talking about it!

Insanely awful. The VP of this place is catty and unprofessional. You would think that for place that does a lot of weddings and happy occasions, she would at least pretend to make the process enjoyable and pleasant. Dont expect that level of professionalism. She cares more about her image than the *actual* experience of her clients. She even tries to strong arm people who leave negative reviews into taking them down. The venue is gorgeous but this woman (who is also apparently on the board) will run it into the ground. Such a shame.
