The rooms looked beautiful! We were married upstairs in the Tapestry Room overlooking the Fox River. We had perfect timing as it started to snow just as our ceremony started . . . what a beautiful site! Following the ceremony was a cocktail hour for our guests while we took photos. Our guests headed down to the bar area (with a beautiful wood bar) and enjoyed delicious appetizers such as Phyllo with Baked Brie and Raspberry, Stuffed Mushrooms, and Scallop wrapped in Bacon. They even brought some up to the wedding party during photos. Then the evening moved to dinner in the River Room, again overlooking the Fox River. The room was stunning! We started off with Cream of Roasted Red Pepper Soup. Then enjoyed the Riverside Salad (Bibb Lettuce with Strawberries and White Cheddar with a Smoked Mushroom Vinaigrette Dressing). Dinner was a choice between Roasted Rack of Lamb with Duchess Potatoes and Roasted Root Vegetables or Petit Filet & Chicken Breast with Horseradish Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans Provencal. All the food was exquisite and our guest still talk about it (more than a year later)! Our wedding cake (which was included as part of the reception) was from The Cakery in North Aurora. We chose a white cake with hazelnut filling and a butter cream frosting. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. We have ordered the same cake from them many times since. Along with the delicious cake we had the Queen’s Sweets Table . . . what a great selection of treats! They were enjoyed by all. We finished off the evening in yet another room . . . we danced the night away in the Mill Room. It was wonderful to have the evening move from room to room. It made it feel more like home. Everyone had a wonderful time and can’t stop talking about it! It has been over a year now and we still hear how our wedding was the best and most elegant wedding they have ever been to. I would highly recommend Riverside Receptions to anyone looking to have a wedding or event! We had a wonderful time and the staff was superb! With out Tina and her staff my wedding would not have been as wonderful as it was. Thank You!

My husband and I had our wedding at riverside on Saturday April 8, 2017. Our coordinator was Amy and she was absolutely amazing to work with. She made the whole process very easy. We have always driven past riverside but never thought we could afford having our wedding there. We went to see another place before going to riverside, last year, and we are so glad we went there. We couldnt pass up the winter wedding package and price. All that is included saved us so much money. We had the whole building for the day and it was beyond worth it. Amy helped us the whole time, she is great with communication, and answered all my questions. The service the day of the wedding was awesome. We couldnt have asked for a better day or better staff to work our wedding. I highly recommend Riverside Receptions for any wedding or event. You cant beat the beautiful views of the water either.

Very nice eloquent place to have a wedding reception or any kind of gathering. They have an upstairs banquet hall with a full service Bar and dance floor. They also have a large full service Bar and seating area on the main lower level which is good for private parties, birthday parties, etc.... I wouldve given them a 5 star review, but I didnt think the steak that was served at the wedding reception I attended was anything spectacular. But it wasnt terrible either. Theres a bar across the outside Commons area called the Dam Bar & Grill which I highly recommend for the after party. Friendly attentive bartenders, local atmosphere, decent drink specials.

Our daughters wedding was held at Riverside Receptions recently. I have to thank the wonderful staff for a beautiful wedding. I would especially like to thank Norma, who was extremely helpful in organizing everything. The venue was beautiful and the courtyard reminded me of being in a quaint European town. The flower were lovely. The food was very good. The appetizers our daughter chose were bruschetta, bacon wrapped dates, and crab cakes. The crab cakes were great!. The wedding cake was also very good. I would highly recommend this venue

We could not have asked for a better experience with Riverside Receptions!!! They took all the stress of planning out of the process and we knew we were in good hands from the start! When I walked into the room on our wedding day, it was beyond perfect and so magical! Frances treated our day as if it were her own, she made the process of turning the space into our own so easy. THANK YOU Riverside for being the best venue EVER! :)

Public parking is available, but you will need to walk. They do not have valet that I have found. Once inside, the venue is interesting. There is an upstairs hall that has a great overlook of the Fox River. Downstairs has a patio space for smaller groups. Worth a look if you are planning an event in the area.

Beautiful setting and delicious food. Not a lot of space and not great for receptions with a speaker and slide show. Another problem was that there was TONS of bugs thats not only annoyed us but made the place less visually appealing

Riverside is a beautiful place. I think it is a great place for a wedding!!! We checked it out a few weeks ago and are planning on having ours there. The staff has been very helpful and the scenery is perfect.

What a wonderful place to have a out door wedding. The courtyard is beautiful and the reception hall is right on the river. Food was excellent and so was the staff.

My uncle was married here when I was a kid, my sister is getting married here in October. Venue is just as beautiful and intimate as I remember it being.
