Im so lucky to have found Palos Country Club, signing that contract was the best thing I could have done for my Sept 13 wedding!! I worked with Pat and she was my saving grace through my year of planning. She is one tough lady and I knew from the very first day that she would fight to get everything we wanted done for us and make our day perfect (which it was and then some)! Shell give it to you straight, no bs, which I really appreciated. The day of, when our wedding cake wasnt being delivered on time the Palos crew made it all work out, contacting the cake vendor and fighting to get our cake in (which they did just minutes before we made our grand entrance). The Grand Ballroom & grounds are absolutely stunning, everything is kept in the best shape possible. Clean & beautiful, 100%. Other venues just cannot compete with their prices. I searched EVERYWHERE and you will NOT find a better deal in a better setting than Palos CC. Do yourself a favor & CHECK THEM OUT! Everyone was raving about the food!! SO DELICIOUS!! We had the Tenderloin of Beef served Chateaubriand style with Bearnaise sauce which was accompanied by Chicken Vesuvio. Best of both worlds- chicken & filet! The tenderloin was replenished at every table to ensure that everyone got the temperature they preferred and nobody left hungry. We even had a great time at the tasting! They allowed both parents to come and served us all the options as full plates with drinks! Much more enjoyable than meeting with a huge crowd buffet style. The bar service was awesome.. they had everything and the bartenders knew how to make all the drinks. Even with 225 people there was never a line at the bar, and everyone always had a drink in hand which made for great times on their huge dance floor! You WILL NOT be disappointed!!! THANKS PALOS CC CREW & PAT for the PERFECT night!!!! I just wish it could have lasted longer!! Also, we had a blast playing the course which they let my entire wedding party do free of charge. Beautiful course!! Very well kept!

DO NOT EVER GO HERE!! WORST MANAGEMENT AND STAFF!!!!!!! My Mother had a tab at the cash bar for coffee, teas and soda for non-drinkers. The staff refused to serve any of it. Which means my 90 year old grandmother, aunts, uncles and other guests that dont drink did not have anything to drink for 2 hours til they sat down @ 7pm. They wouldnt even serve water to them. We met with Pat (horrible manager) who guaranteed the beer/liquor list we requested was stocked and it wasnt. So the beer and liquor I specifically paid for was not there. During cocktail hour I watched one of the servers make fun of multiple guests on multiple occasions regarding baldness, weight, etc. They opened the ballroom and closed down the cocktail bar 30 minutes before they were supposed to. Pat (the manager) said she would be there the whole time and of course was nowhere to be found before dinner was even served. Bar was supposed to open at 8pm after dinner and they refused to re-open bar til 8:30 pm. My friend (in his 30s and doesnt really drink) had his elbow against the bar saying hello to my mother when he was physically shoved by a bartender and told to "get off their bar" at 10:25pm I was dancing with my wife and a few of my guests let me know that they just packed up all of the bar and shut it down. I went over there and the manager was extremely disrespectful and had every excuse in the book why she was closing down my reception. All of which were complete lies that I caught her in. At this point the male bartender started a fight with me and wanted to turn into an actual physical altercation in the hallway of the ballroom. Our contract stated that the reception was supposed to end at 11:30 and the bar was completely shut down by 10:25pm We paid for 4.5 hours of premium open bar in our contract and barely received half of that

My sons wedding was at Palos Country Club this past weekend. I have spent 40 years in the service industry, over 30 years in the South Chicago wedding industry and was absolutely appalled at the poor service & treatment we received from Palos Country Club! The waitstaff and bartenders were terrible, and clearly poorly trained/managed. They had no concern for the quality of service (or lack their of) they were providing, and made no attempt to remedy any of the several issues/complaints we had with them thru-out the evening. They were rude and unprofessional to our guests, and even pushed one of them. Management offered many promises to sign a contract and completely broke or did not follow thru on most of them. They closed the bar early and when we asked for an explanation they trumped up false accusations regarding our guests. There were no issues with any of our guests. It appears the staff had worked a big party the night before and were all tired and wanted to go home. So, they just closed up the bar (which was agreed to be open till 11pm) at 10:45pm, and were in the cars and gone by 10:55pm. They had no valid explanations, and began to get confrontational when we inquired as to how they could just stop serving when we had paid for the bar until 11pm. I could go one and list several more issues.. So much so, that we will be taking legal action. Just know, if you’re considering Palos Country Club for your affair, BEWARE!

I recently attended a wedding at Palos Country Club. I am a professional photographer from Vermont and was attending the wedding of the son of another professional photographer. After 25 years in the industry of weddings, I have never seen this type of service or staff treat guest the way they did at Palos Country Club. Our table spent half the night fending off the staff from taking our half full drinks, our plates with food on them or anything else we needed from our table. We would literally still be eating off the plate and they would be taking it away. OVER AND OVER! It was VERY obvious they wanted to get out of there. To the point they shut down the bar an hour early. Very sad to see guest treated this way. Shame on Palos Country Club to treat their guest this way. They need to get out of the wedding business if this is how they plan to treat their guest.

I recently visited this venue for a close relatives wedding. The food was indeed excellent however the staff took it away before we had barely started eating. I have never felt so rushed at at restarant much less a wedding. I dont believe our server and other had anything on their mind other than getting out and away from the terrible management. The management who was uncooperative through the entire engagement, and whose bait and switch pricing methods cost our family surprise dollars on top of an already expensive venue. It was a special day that I will have fond memories of however I would caution any friend from booking here unless big changes are made.

I attended a friends wedding here recently. While the wedding was absolutely beautiful and we all had so much fun, I cannot say I would ever recommend Palos Country Club to anyone else for their wedding. The staff just seemed so unhappy to be there and it showed in the service. Our waiter must have tried to take my dinner plate 5 times while I was still eating-as was everyone else. While I only had 2 drinks there- they were very watered down. And at the end of the night, Ive never seen such an abrupt end to service- lights up, bar closed before 11. Weddings are a lot of money, and I wouldnt spend mine here. Plenty of other good venues in the area.
