Be warned: this golf course has mats for the tee box on the majority of the holes. Also, knocking it onto the fairway (which i do quite rarely) is not even a bonus for this course, as the fairway is comprised of hardened dirt. The one redeeming quality about the course is the greens. They are in very good condition, and seemed very out of place with the rest of the course. Pace of play is also extremely slow and many beginners and families frequented on the day that i played. Play at your own risk.

This course should retire its golf course status and just be a disc golf and soccer golf course (I got pelted in the leg from someones drive with a golf ball while teeing off). Its narrow holes make it dangerous to play. There are more dirt spots than milkweed in the fairway and more milkweed than grass. Also the golf carts are very old, slow, and have to be choked to start. The pictures online are photoshopped. Nonetheless, golfing is fun so I had a good time.

Went here in July 2017 after several floods. Mosquitoes wanted to eat us alive, had to cancel the round of golf early at the 13th hole because we couldnt even stand in one place to hit a shot for 3 seconds before getting attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes. The course had a lot of mud and standing water but that is understandable after the week of heavy rains. Hopefully the course is better when you go. Overall, clean easy course without sand pits.

I rated this course as a 4 but I wish I could rate it at 3 and a half. Its definitely a cool old school Chicago-style Golf Course. Some of the holes are unlike anything youd find anywhere else but unfortunately they require you to hit off of mats. Its a good value for your money, but there are certainly better golf courses out there as the grounds for this are not in very good shape.

Bob is one of the friendliest showman to ever grace the beaten green. Although they do not serve liquor, the do allow others to bring in. The greens are clean and short. Look out for the signature hole, one and youre done. Take a lot of short irons, you will need them.

I always call in ahead to see if Jack is working because he is always super nice, knowledgable, and honest about course conditions. Staff in general is totally on another tier for the price you pay.

Still got mats in tee boxes..of course you can move off..end of season had fairways pretty bare...Casper doing their best to keep up this old ragged 18 hole course...greens were fine.

Forest preserve course. Rustic,full range of yardages. A few surprises you dont see locally. Not fond of the mat tee boxes. Beginning to recover nicely from several floods.
