I am a beginner golfer. I am trying to rate this course fairly and also trying to be sensitive to peoples opinions. Some may say that one golf course is better than the other because of various features it had to offer, such as alcohol, conditions of groundskeeping, social atmosphere, etc. I found this course to have its groundskeeping to be in very great shape and the price is reasonable. The main reason that I did not give this more stars is that the course ranger / management try to keep you moving along at a pace that is not comfortable for beginners. My wife and I made a tee time appointment... We were not allowed to play 9 holes due to the sun setting and was a little closer to the end of the day... which is perfectly fine and agreeable in our opinion. We were allowed to play a quick six. We were given a discount for playing 3 less holes. No arguments there. We were constantly rushed along and harassed by the course ranger. I feel that we were being rushed along for the simple fact that the golf staff could leave as early as possible as soon as we finished....not for any reason that would make sense, like holding up a golf group behind us (which there were none) or playing offensively or destructively. I would only recommend this course if you are a well accomplished golfer who can keep your strokes to a minimum and your pace fast. The greatest thing they offer is they have a very nice restaurant/bar, & the grounds are a very well kept and the facilty is nice and reasonably affordable. Dont play here unless you are ready to be rushed along.

Played on a weekday evening. Pace was extremely slow with people walking and never really getting a good hit. Not a big deal, everyone needs to learn somewhere and some time, but it was a bit tough as we were trying to beat the sunset by the end of the 9. The things that bothered me were that the holes were pretty straight, short, and it was a tight course with fairways being side-by-side. Once again, not horrible, but you really need to control your shot. It seemed most people could not and instead of going to get their ball and playing it or dropping back on their hole, theyd just leave the ball and go get another. By the time we were playing, there were probably at least 10 balls left on each hole from previous players, which made finding your ball quite difficult and time consuming (this is really a complaint of the players there).

Played this cute little course on Sunday. Really fun and not too long course, but still a few challenging holes. Great for a beginner to intermediate, or if someone just wants a relaxing hole. I cant give it more than 3 stars though for 2 things. One was that the greens were waaaayyy too furry and slow and second, because of the drunk 4-somes on the course. This was incredibly annoying as there was a guy in front of us who probably swung at his ball 4 times on every tee before making any kind of contact. This is unacceptable and made play very slow. Otherwise, pretty little course and will give it one more chance!

Ive been playing Tam for 20 years and the 9 hole course is great, very well kept fairways & greens in good shape and have some nicely priced specials! Negatives: slow play at times and back ups on weekends esp. Long hitters may want longer par 4s, a couple are 250-275 so easily drivable and no par 5s. Positives: Friendly starters and some cute girls driving carts serving drinks and eats. River cuts through and makes some holes a challenge.

Good course for beginners or visitors who dont golf often. Mean by that, you dont want to blow a lot of money on casual golfers by going to the better courses in the area. This is good for that. Plan for a lot of time, on a good day weather-wise, this is slow play.
