I hope that they cannot take the reviews down from here like they did on their facebook. This is a poor excuse for a fish store. The owner cares more about making money off a movie than for the life of an innocent animal. Please save your money (I understand that he is giving away the tang for free). He is selling a 30 gallon aquarium with a free blue hippo tang! (Dory) the Blue Hippo Tang needs a minimum of a 125 gallon aquarium and even that is a little small for when they are full grown. It would of been so easy for him to of posted that you would get a coupon for a free blue hippo tang with the purchase of a 125 gallon tank or larger but he advertised it with a 30 gallon and then when people called him out on it he was very rude with his replies and deleted all the comments and took down the option to review his business on facebook. I hope that alone tells you what kind of person you are dealing with when you visit this shop. They will be the cars salesmen (which is probably a disgrace to many car salesmen, for that I am sorry) and sell you something youre not capable of taking care of. Please save your $700 and go to build-a-bear and buy a stuffed Dory for $25.00... you will have much more joy out of it rather than seeing your animal die because it doesnt have the room it needs.

Poor business practices. Please educate your customers not help them wipe out a species. A tang needs 150 gl + to survive. Not the 30 gl tank you are selling then with. Even petco has signs up warning new aquarium owners away from purchasing a tang. Educate yourselves. So many are trying so hard to save the species then companies with poor business practices like yours messes it all up. Do some research. The clown fish almost got wiped out last time. Thankfully they can be captives bred. Unlike the tang, tangs have to be caught in the wild and shipped in. Tangs will not breed in captivity. Save these poor beautiful animals from extinction. Aid your customers in knowledge, not in killing livestock. A clown is not suitable to be in a 6 gl tank either. Do your research.

This negative review serves to inform the public of the severely short sighted business practices of this establishment. The weekend sale which includes a free blue tang with the purchase of a 30 gallon set up or free clownish with 6 gallon set up is incredibly irresponsible and equally negligent. For many reasons to lengthy to detail here. I would question the ethics and motivation of the ownership and decision makers involved here. Do some research, get informed and think long and hard before investing your hard earned money here or placing your trust in these people for legitimate knowledge or truthful advice regarding the aquarium hobby. I would look elsewhere.

I am posting this review so that the public can be further aware of their incredible negligence when it comes to the animals in their care. They recently thought it would be okay to put pacific blue tangs (aka dory) into a 30G aquarium, which is what any experienced reef keeper would consider a cruel and unusual punishment. On top of this, they are advertising these fish in a manner that makes unsuspecting customers think they are easy to care for. This couldnt be more wrong or opposite. Please, if you are thinking about keeping one of these, do your research, and do not buy from this store. If I could give negative stars, I would.

Love this place. My husband and I come here often and the people that work here are very knowledgeable with any questions we have. They are so friendly and patient--especially with our energetic 4 year old boy. They arent just out to make a sale (like we have experienced at other fish stores), and have even given us recommendations on what we should and shouldnt purchase with our set up. Even when we came in right before closing, they still took time with us and didnt try to rush us out the door. Great customer service!

Its a shame this business practices so poorly. When they are caught and call out on it, they remove all the reviews and post from their Facebook page. Running an ad campaign giving away a blue hippo tang with a 30gl aquarium purchase is highly irresponsible. As blue hippos need at the very least a 125gl tank. So hopefully you read this review and understand that this store will sell you anything and everything to make a buck, so buyer beware

Sad to see LFS that only care about making money and not the fish. Will never support businesses that dont care about the safety of the animals they sell. I will continue to do business with Birds and Beasts, the staff is super attentive there and they really care about people housing fish properly! Boycott this sad place and do not help support animal abuse!!!!

a 30 gallon aquarium for a hippo tang???!! You have really got to be kidding me, this stores gross negligence and ultimate slap in the face to its customers and the hobby, is absolutely rediculous. I genuinely hope people do more research on the fish because these people will sell you whatever. They just want your money. POS.

Irresponsible company that obviously will do anything to make a buck. Ive never been to this store and probably will never go. Being a fish supplier it sickens me that stores like this exist. Please do your research people before buying live animals, and by research I mean checking out reputable stores and web sites.

My fish are dying and I called this store. James was friendly and helpful. He knew what was wrong and explained it to me. I had velvet. My fish died. I was going to empty my tank and give up. James explained that velvet can not live without fish so I should wait a month and my tank should be okay again. Thank you

This company is trying to sell hippo tangs with a 30 gallon tank package. Its irresponsible and unethical treatment of these animals that give the industry a bad reputation, not to mention its cruel to the animals. I would never support a fish shop that is so irresponsible in their advice to their customers.

Attempting to sell cruel undersized saltwater tank "Nemo and Dory" packages targeted at young children and people who are uneducated on the subject. Likely most tangs and clownfish sold with these packages will die quickly after sold, or will be mistreated by uneducated parents buying them for their kids.

Terrible place. Only out to make money. Please do plenty of research before getting into salt water. These people are advertising a Regal Tang (that require a 300gal tank), for free, with a 30gal tank purchase. These people should be shut down.

not knowledgable and only out for your money. A tang does not belong in a 30g tank. A clownfish does not belong in a 6g tank. Taking advantage of the Disney hype and improperly informing people. You should be ashamed.

Jeff, James, and Elise are the best. They help me out all the time either with a question, late nite text, or a home visit. I cant say enough about how grateful I am to have them as my tank maintenance peeps.
