The UIC Pavilion is a great place to see a show. Many a historic evenings have taken place at this site including Phishs epic 1994 stops in June and November, a 3 night run in November 98 and just this past August a scorching (literally and figuratively) 3 night run that many argue are among the bands best in recent memory. A little overzealous security on the outside but once youre in the sound is stellar, the view good from anywhere, and its pretty easy to get into and out of both pre and post show. I always enjoy taking in a show at the UIC Pav and would encourage everybody to see your favorite band at this spot if they are here.

My experience was ok... Im not sure if its normally over crowded but this was the worst crowded venue experience of my life. I went to see Amy Schumer and the hallways were so packed that I would have not made it out in time if there was a fire. It took me 30 minutes to grab a drink and go to the bathroom because you could barely move. My seat was literally right outside the bathroom and bar area but it still took me 30 minutes... Maybe its not always like that but it wasnt a great first impression.

A bit small. Parking tickets never have dates or timestamp on them. When it pours in inclimate weather, beware bc the venue floods creating a major hazard. At event days when traffic is a mad house, dont be afraid to use all lanes which includes the far left lane when approaching Racine bc they will direct all lanes even the far left one to a parking garage entrance. Staying in right lane would be a huge mistake and headache.

Ive been seeing shows here for many years. Phish, Wilco, Arcade Fire, Passion Pit, Stringcheese Incident, Widespread Panic. And those are just off the top of my head. Even the obstructed view seats arent bad. You can always move around once you are in the venue. Roller Derby, basketball, this arena does sports too! Parking Garage just east of the venue and a lot across the street. Super easy mass transit options too.

I remember when the UIC Pavilion was home to WWF and NWA pro wrestling shows. I also remember when UIC Flames HOCKEY games were played there...before the school ditched its varsity hockey program to pay more attention to basketball (hiring Jimmy Collins as head coach). The Flames got some respect, but not as much as it wouldve liked. Still...the UIC Pavilion is a good arena for the school.

UIC is super fun place to see shows, especially Phish and I was lucky enough to be there for three fun filled nights this past August. Great lot scene across the street from the entrance, and easy access to the Blue line for safe public transit. Very cozy place to see a show, and it feels just like what it is, a college venue with good acoustic and not a bad seat in the house!

Plenty of seating. I was there for a graduation and there was a lot of room left over. Although none of the concessions were open for food or water or anything. None of the stairwells had hand railings. That is a huge safety hazard, and I saw a lot of older people struggling to get up and down the stairs. Overall it was decent, and the parking wasnt bad either.

Visited for Baconfest 2013. Extremely crowded. Would recommend showing up at least an hour prior to scheduled time as there was already a substantial line when we arrived a half hour early. With that said, the food was excellent--if you like bacon, of course. Fellow bacon-lovers, chefs, and hosts were probably among the nicest I encountered in Chicago.

Its listed as a 9500 seat arena. Thats 4250 regular sized seats, just fyi. Im a 510" guy - 170 lbs and I couldnt comfortably fit in these seats. Luckily, I was sitting inbetween members of my family or I wouldve been in constant contact with strangers. I was surprised how skinny the seats were. Also, theyre not comfortable!

Really great place to see a show. However, it does get it EXTREMELY hot and ive seen people fall down the cement stairs... not a good site.. it does get packed through the hallways as well.. Other than that, great viewing from anywhere inside and GREAT sound. Id highly recommend this one

Ive been to the venue several times...the most recent, to attend a concert. Every seat is an acceptable view. I was fortunate to have floor level seating, however, I did not like the "airiness" of the auditorium. If, a little more cozy, this is the ideal venue for shows!!

Has some great shows and events. Love attending, also go to school at UIC so I am here very often and I can say its probably the best building on campus. Very well kept and the staff and everything is just awesome! Great place to go and see.

Bacon Feast! What a great event. My first trip to Chicago and I get to eat bacon. Amazing time in the windy city. I wish it was 10 degrees warmer but this is Chicago so you cant complain about that. Very friendly staff.

Love fight nights? Love Rollerblade Fights? What about Stand up Comedy? If the answer is yes, then this is the place for you! They have perfect seating and nice food, they also serve alcohol, but they do ask for ID, so be aware.

Extremely hard to get to your seat at the venue, hallways are shoulder to shoulder, and lines are way to long. If you get a drink or use the restroom you would miss 20 mins of your event.

A great place to watch Windy City Rollers roller derby! Easily accessible from the Blue Line, but also has some street parking and plenty of garage/lot parking available nearby.

Ive been to almost fifteen basketball matches here at the pavilion. Everything is well planned everytime. The staff manage the place with high quality of professionalism.

Have come here a few times including a graduation and events. The seats are a bit small but the venue is big and clean. It has its own garage as well.

Rude and inconsiderate staff (with the exception of one kind man whose name I didnt catch). Venue sounds like a tunnel and does not provide bag check.

The Pavilion is HUGE with so much to offer. Every time I go, I have a beautiful time. From games to events. Especially seeing the UIC FLAMES

Smaller arena that provides good viewing experience. Limited food options and slow lines make it hard to have a well-rounded experience.

Went to see Katt Williams. Wasnt thrilled about the seats that they have for people with disabilities. Other than that the place is nice

I went there to see a roller derby about two weeks ago and it was perfect. We got great seats and the food was amazing (and very cheap)

Was here for the robotics event. The seating needs updating and the isles need cleaning. The floor was sticky in many places.

The venue is fine, but it lacks bathrooms. Expect very long lines for the few bathrooms it has (both mens and womens).
