This was our second food walking tour that we have done while vacationing. The other was in Portland, OR and I just couldnt believe that another tour could be as good. I was very happy that it was. The tour began with a true Chicago hot dog and ended with a tasty donut. We had 6 stops long the way and just when I thought I couldnt eat another bite, we walked the beautiful Wicker Park to settle our full tummies and learned all about the architecture and even met a homeowner who came out and gave us more info on his home. The homes along this tour are beautiful. The food along this tour was amazing! It was the perfect mix of the food youd expect to get in Chicago along with some surprises. The walk was delightful and you even get some coupons to encourage you to go back to some of the places and patronize them for their service to the food tour. Im totally hooked on food tours and will seek them out on other vacations. This tour was perfect for both the foodie and the regular guy.

My friends and I were part of a group of 12 who went on the Chinatown Food Tour! The tour, the food and our guide (unfortunately I have forgotten her name) were all excellent and made for a wonderful 3+ hours. We enjoyed learning some history and a bit of the culture from our guide; she was very well informed and did a nice job of presenting the information to us. In addition, I must commend our guide and the staff in the office for mailing my sunglasses to me. They went above and beyond in being so kind.

This was an awesome tour! We started our tour with deep dish sausage pizza, next stop had a cup of tea, got out of my comfort zone with some sushi, ate a fair share of some great chocolate butter toffee, then learned about cinnamon & pepper @ spice house, checked out some olive oil and soy sauces, and finally enjoyed a ham & cheese sandwich and macarons. Emily, our guide was fearless and intriguing - not a dull moment. Loved this- must check out. Ill be back to do a different tour for sure :D

We toured Gold Coast and Old Town with Rachel on July 10th, 2015. Had a fantastic time. Our group was great and the food was terrific. I am not a "foodie" by any stretch of the imagination and I found myself guzzling balsamic vinegar samples like I was paid to do it. The star of the show was Rachel though. Her enthusiasm and spirit was admired by all, and her knowledge of the foods and the neighborhoods was outstanding. We recommend the tour to all, old and young.

The tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and provided a good pace and balance for walking through the city, introducing us to wonderful, different food experiences and providing historical background information and architectural insights to help us to really enjoy our tour. We had so much food but spread out of 3 hours of eating, and my husband and I felt perfect at the end. I wouldnt change a thing - it was great!

Rachel was our host and she did a fantastic job! We got to eat deep dish pizza, sample some exotic tea, enjoy some of Chicagos finest sushi, taste some great chocolate butter toffee treats, learn about and taste oils and spices and finally enjoy some great pierogies and macarons. We even got some history and architecture along the way. Definitely a great value and about as much as one could hope for out of a Chicago food tour.

My sister and I had a great time! It was our first food tour and we cant wait to come back and do the other amazing tours Chicago Food Planet as to offer! Our guide Amber was so great! She really knows a lot about Chicago, its history, architecture, and of course its stunning food scene! We had some incredible food from some local small business, and met some good people! It made me love Chicago just a little bit more!

My family and I have taken two of CFP tours and had an excellent experience both times! Just recently we took the Bucktown & Wicker Park tour and loved it! Jade was our guide... Not only was she knowledgeable, but also fun and energetic! We tasted authentic Chicago Dogs and falafel, iced hot chocolate and doughnuts! Great neighborhood tour and excellent food! Great deal for the price! RECOMMEND!

5 star rating because its worth it. Took the China Town tour. Very well run, great food and our guide, Hannah, was very professional. The tour ends very close the river where you can catch the River Taxi back to Michigan Ave. $5.00 gets you a great tour of Chicago you wouldnt normally see. Try any of the tours with your ADULT children. Kids would ruin it for you and anyone else.

So. So. So. Worth it! Went to wicker park/bucktown. And we were STUFFFFEDD. Seriously you need to go ravenous. We didnt even eat everything. Had to pass on some stuff. The tour guide was a delight. Rich in history of EVERYTHING. If you are on the rocks of doing this...DO IT.

Absolute fantastic experience! We took the Gold Coast neighborhood tour and honestly, well likely come back to Chicago just for another tour. Its fun to meet the others and get what feels like insider information as you meander through the neighborhoods. Highly recommend!

Such a great way to sample Chicagos classic food while also understanding the history of how it came to be! Rachel was our guide and she was top notch! Wish we had time to take the other food tours offered by this company.
