Great place to connect with nature in the middle of the city. I can still remember back in the 70s when I grew up in that neighborhood the woods were not so clean and well kept. So Im very happy to see on my recent visit the place now has the bike trail and looks in such good condition.

Quiet, smaller sized preserve connected to a much larger forest and trail system. We used out for a work picnic event. We reserved thegrove and shelter. You trade off amenities for peace. No soft grassy area in the grove.

Absolutely beautiful! I went to the patch of forest glen woods in between the edens expressway and Peterson. There was no trail. Absolutely beautiful. I saw deer, woodpeckers, Hawks, and song birds. Very special place.

It looks small from the parking lot. The thing is the woods are a large area. Cool thing is they are building a bicycle trail in the area. This will make the area much more accessible.

North branch trail extension now runs through here, great trail for cycling, walking, running or just to enjoy nature after a long day in the city.

Great place to stay at and relax. Has access to the north trail branch of the Chicago river. Open from sunrise until sunset.
