This place has a lot of potential. The atmosphere could be great, but when the music in the kitchen is as loud as the music in the dining room, it really creates an acoustic nightmare that shouldnt be happening at a venue, a studio or a restaurant. Having been a server, I understand every table is going to get a slightly different experience. That being said, our waitress forgot to put in our appetizer, and told me they were out of something (mustard) and then gave it to me a few minutes later, after another employee was able to find it. The food was OK. I got the burger which had very little flavor and no signature topping. The whole leaf of lettuce given as a topping was odd. The fried green tomatoes appetizer were not good at all, sadly. Id love to come back for a show and a cocktail but probably not food.

Just rented out the Mad Life studio for the day for a company event. They accommodated 130 of us for an entire day and fed everyone a fantastic lunch in a timely manner. We had access to the stage, screen, all sound equipment (spectacular sound system), great bathrooms and even their studio engineer ran the equipment for us ensuring that everything went off without a hitch (thank you Steve!) If you have ever thought of "redefining" your company with an incredibly cool venue that wont break your budget, THIS is your place. And did I mention the great show they had that evening, along with all the action in downtown Woodstock which set the scene for a great after party for the team? This place is a class act.

Food is pretty good, not great, but some interesting menu selections and basic burgers. The venue side is definitely awesome. Drinks are a little pricey, but a cool needed spot for downtown Woodstock. I just dont like that they have tables right at the front of the stage. I understand having high top tables toward the back, but tables in the front blocks having a good dance area. They have a lot of fun cover bands. Prince tribute was awesome and looking forward to journey tribute next week. If owners read this, this place would be awesome for a Spazmatics franchise. Just a suggestion. Saw them in Dallas and they would be awesome here.

My wife and I visited about a month ago for dinner then Thunderstruck, the AC/DC cover band. We were totally impressed with the food, service ,the music venue and Thunderstruck absolutely rocked the joint. Weve been back twice for dinner since and lets just say the first time was NOT a fluke. Already purchased tickets to a couple other upcoming shows which of course will be preceded by dinner. What an impressive blend of concepts that one might not think would work together, they blend it perfectly and we love it! If your an AC/DC fan go see Thunderstruck wherever you see they are playing...you will not be disappointed!

The food was great and the service was excellent. The crowd was full of really great energy and the live stage venue behind the restaurant was really great! I feel like they are missing one touch with the food, while it was great, I think I will need to go back again to try another dish and rate again because I cant quite figure out whats missing (possibly flavor? Im just not sure but is something). I will be back for more, thats for sure! Great beer list and full bar, the menu was nice and short, I hate to read menus like books! All of the items on their menu sound so delicious!!

What an amazing place to have right in Downtown Woodstock! You absolutely cannot find anything like this outside of Atlanta. Now, there is no reason to have to go all the way into the city to find live music, great beats, great eats and cool drinks!! From the deliciously tasty food at MadLife Grill to the incredibly talented bands that cross the MadLife Stage to a state-of-the art recording studios, there is absolutely nothing else like this around!! MadLife encompasses all of this and more!! I guarantee, MadLife Stage & Studios will become your new favorite hangout joint!!

We have been there three times already...once for a full dinner, the other times we went to taste the small bites. Havent been disappointed with any of our food choices. I havent been for a concert yet, but were looking forward to the food being served in the concert venue. The only draw back...fairly loud in the restaurant when performances are going on. Very hard to have a convo at the restaurant table. Also, lots of servers just standing around. Im sure things will settle down after a month or two.

My son is in School of Rock and they do their performances at madlife. Its very cool. One side is the restaurant and bar with a outdoor seating area. The other side is a stage and more tables with table bar food service. The lighting and sounds are great. Although, They need to work on the microphones for the singers with School of Rock. They were a little warbled. Im definitely going to go back and see some of the shows that Ive seen advertised.

Review from musicians perspective: Great venue! Acoustics are superb. Extremely helpfull stage hands, great sound guy and great sound engineers tracking while you play. The mix was great on a stage, could hear all of our 4 piece band(Jen Hodges and spurge) perfect and clear. The food is great and the staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Cant wait to play there again.

A place like no other in downtown Woodstock, or anywhere that Ive personally seen! A restaurant that doubles as a concert venue is a very out of the ordinary and creative idea. On top of that, the food is amazing. David Berry, the head chef, could not have done any better. I look forward to being back!

I went on a date night. Food was alright . There really isnt anything for veg heads or vegans . Also to actually get our food took forever and our waitress was actually very rude. On top of that it was loud and we got double charged for my girlfriends martini. We will never go back here again...

We had excellent service when my husband and I ate here. I cant remember ever having such a perfectly cooked piece of fish, if ever. My husband loved the lamb. We were impressed with the venue and plan to attend a concert in the near future.

This was alot of fun, I saw the dueling pianos and had Steak in the lounge for a company dinner. The workers are awesome and friendly which makes it so much better. Always ask if you have an issue they will gladly compensate if possible

This post is only about food side. Chef is amazing and likely underappreciated. I realize that young folks probably just was to grab a bite before the show but the Chef and his creations are worthy of a really nice classy restaurant!

Took the family for an early dinner and place was empty. We sat and watched 4 different staff/servers walk by without any eye contact or acknowledgement. After 15min of being ignored we got up and left. No one even noticed us leave.

Loved the seasonal menu ... Enjoyed the pimiento cheese "charcuterie" plate, burgers decent... However, Ive been multiple times and felt like tickets were a little pricey for some shows. My favorite is the local talent nights.

I have now been to at least a dozen shows at Madlife. And every show has been great! Madlife is without a doubt, hands down, unquestionably, the best, most fun place to go in Woodstock... correction... north of Atlanta!!
