I got married here back in 2012 and honestly if I could do it all over again I wouldnt choose Glendalough Manor. Although the venue looks beautiful in pictures this is a family owned/managed business and thus you have to deal with the things that go along with that. When you pay over $12k for a wedding in a matter of 3 months you think that you should get 5star service when we did not. We actually will be redoing our wedding next year at another facility in hopes of getting the wedding we deserved. They somehow got my original review removed with many of the other negative ones that used to be on here but trust my words when I say this. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Pros-Venue is beautiful and well kept. Location is very private and theres plenty of parking. There is an on-site bridal suite, outdoor ceremony location & large ballrooms. They have vendors come and meet with you on site prior to your event. The bridal suite is spacious with tons of windows & room for the girls to get ready. Cons-Customer Service. The owners daughter Jenna is about the rudest person ever. I have several emails from her that were less that kind after they broke my cake topper by mistake never told me I had to let them know it was damaged (they had to replace it), they turned one of my good friends away from the reception although his name was on the list and they never asked the go-to person if this person was an approved guest, the event coordinator cut the music off 1.5 hours before the end of the paid reception time saying that guests were leaving. Doesnt matter we had at least 40 guests still in the room and we paid for the entire time so we shouldve had that time to spend with them. They never brought down the bubbles to the ceremony site so i still have them in my garage years later. Theyre also overpriced when you do a price comparison with hotels/event facilities in the Metro ATL area. Maybe by now they have changed the way they do business but I have no desire to recommend them to anyone based on how we felt the day before & the day of our wedding. ***BTW I was threatened to be sued for writing this post but Im risking that just to let you all potential brides & grooms know about our experience it may not be yours but it really left a horrible impression on the venue & how they did business***

I celebrated my wedding at Glendalough manor on May 6th, 2017 and I couldnt have Imagine having It anywhere else. The moment I saw the venue I knew there was nowhere else I wanted to get married. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, especially if you are looking to have an outdoor wedding. I didnt need to buy any type of décor for outside because Glendalough has so many beautiful flowers and vines that nothing else is needed. There were a couple of things that happened during my wedding day that I was not happy at the time. After my wedding ceremony everything was slightly disorganized and no one kept us on our time schedule so the wedding felt extremely rushed to me at some point because they were trying to everything back to back because we were and hour behind schedule. There were also some things that happened that werent supposed to happen but they were minimal and happened due to miscommunication and lack of understanding what the bride and groom wanted. But Its a wedding, little things like that are meant to happen, nothing is ever going to be perfect. The good thing is that the guest never noticed any of these things and thought the wedding was beautiful. I have to give a huge shout out to Pennie, without her my wedding would have never been what It was. Pennie helped every step of the way with my wedding, from the planning, budget and organization. Unfortunately, she had to leave in the middle of my wedding reception because she was sick which was when everything started to get disorganized but without her I couldnt have had the wedding of my dreams. She will go above and beyond to help and make sure that the bride is happy and relaxed on her wedding day. If any future bride is looking for a venue please stop by Glendalough and check it out! You will instantly fall In love.

Beautiful place run by intelligent, caring people who went above and beyond the "job" of helping to create the most beautiful moment of my daughters life. Her wedding was September 18, 2010 and it went off without a single flaw....Many of the guests have written US thank you notes about what a wonderful experience the wedding was for them. From the first meeting with Tiffany, where the contract was explained in detail (I really dont know how one who can read could suggest the need for a lawyer, as has been suggested by another reviewer. There were NO contract SURPRISES, and because of the specifically laid-out contract, my daughters wedding was completely paid off a month before her wedding.) I would list all of the people at Glendalough who were so helpful but I would not want to leave any of them out, so just know that we feel as though we are family now to those who so splendidly walked us through this beautiful wedding. I would do it all over again!!!!!! Also, the reviewer who stated that you are bound to the vendors that Glendalough recommends, that is also an error. The reason Glendalough recommends certain vendors is because they have dealt with those companies on many occasions and know that they are dependable so that, again, there will be no unpleasant surprises on the day of the wedding. I normally do not write reviews but I feel that Glendalough has been unfairly represented by some of the reviewers and I truly am thankful that we were blessed to find them as our choice over all of the venues in the Atlanta area. By the way, I am not related to any of the people at Glendalough, nor do I have any monetary interest in Glendalough. I just happen to think that they are wonderful people!!!! Thanks Glendalough!!!!

I am recommending Glendalough to a co-worker. It has been nearly 3 years (November 3) for my daughter, Angela and her husband, Justin. From the very beginning of signing the contract with Glendalough to the very last minute of the reception they were absolutely professional, friendly, courteous and fun! They treated my daughter like she were a princess and were absolutely wonderful to her wedding party and to everyone! Did not entail any snags or problems. The owner was very nice to us from the moment we met and talked with him when we were there to choose our vendors. Of course, I think it was because we were the loudest of the two parties who were there! They are a close knit family owned/run venue where you can tell they take pride in their property and services.

What an absolutely stunning property! Beyond charming! The grounds at Glendalough Manor are luscious and green, full of photo opportunities, and neverendingly beautiful. The European styled manor is awe inspiring and the perfect setting for your reception after an outdoor ceremony in the garden space. Inspiration is never lacking here and we cant wait to photograph another wedding here!

Beautiful setting for a wedding reception. The dance floor is huge, and the dining space very accommodating. The staff was pleasant and helpful. It was nice and COLD in there too, which was appreciated by everyone because the weather AND Church were extremely HOT!
