Went to the park for the first time today with the family. Looked at several reviews before we left, and most of them were spot on. THE MAIN CONSENSUS OF REVIEWS I READ (and my opinion follows) 1.) THE PARK IS QUITE CLEAN - absolutely true. Given the number of people in the park, they do a great job keeping the ground and most of the rides clean. 2.) THE LINES ARE LONG AND DISORGANIZED - yes and yes; we went on a Wednesday in summertime (on a beautiful day) and there was a good crowd... sadly, most of the crew said it gets much worse on weekends; most lines were between a 15-25 minute way time, which is long, but could be worse, so you do need to bring your patience. One of the frustrating things is that most of the lines are meant to handle about 10 minutes for of people.... youll find that most lines spill out into the open pavement and can become very disorganized... get ready to start asking Are you in line? 3.) THE FOOD IS EXPENSIVE AND SUBPAR - yes and it depends; prices are comparable to a state fair, which means youll shell out $30-$40 for a meal for your family of 4; we sampled a whole pizza ($16), french fries ($4), onion rings ($4), ice cream ($3.50), and slushes ($5/each).... Everything was pretty good except the pizza which was AWFUL.... please find something else... it was completely tasteless... 4.) BRINGING FOOD IN IS A NO-NO - we ended up NOT bringing waters for the kids since so many said that staff would confiscate them at the entrance... one of our parents brought in Gatorades... they saw them in the bag... didnt say anything.... also, I overheard the staff saying "we dont check the bags of kids" so if you really want to bring your own food in, have your child bring a backpack to increase your odds 5.) ADMISSION PRICE TOO HIGH - While $36 is a bit high (go to AAA and get $30 tix).... there are more than 80 rides... you can have up to 11 hours in the park during the summer..... there are free shows for you to watch (which were pretty neat)... and you get free parking and free admission to a very cool waterpark; overall, I think its a decent deal.... what stinks is that there are no season passes (since we live within a few miles) 6.) NOT ENOUGH RIDES FOR THE YOUNG OR OLDER - Not true; there are plenty for those under 48" and for those OVER 48"... the problem WE ran into is that we have one child over 48" and one UNDER 48".... in many cases, they couldnt ride the same rides.... either our taller child was too big to ride or the smaller child was too short... eliminated several of the options.... despite that, there was still PLENTY to do for the 7 hours we were there. CONCLUSION: Be prepared to spend about $60 per person for the day (admission, food, games). Be prepared to wait in lines for most (if not all). Be prepared to play a few games and win junky prizes. But, despite all that, your kids should have a fantastic time.... ours did, and well likely be back!

Finally got a chance to visit over the summer (July 4th to be exact) with friends! I dreaded the typical amusement park experience of waiting forever in lines and overpriced food. The admission price of $38 is reasonable and the park is significantly cleaner than Six Flags New England. Plus free parking! Even the staff there are more attentive! We had the misfortune of having 2 glass baby bottles shatter on the hard cement and both times the staff members cleaned up all the broken glass pieces immediately. True rating = 3.5 While they dont have as many "thrill rides" the lines were much more manageable at least for the day that we went. We never waited more than 30 minutes (Yankee Cannonball). Other notable rides we tried: Untamed, Pyschodrome, Boat ride on the Lake, Caterpillar, Davincis Dream, Dodgems/Bumper cars, Giant sky wheel, Skater Water rides we tried: Boston Tea Party, Log Flume, Tall Timber Splash, Castaway Island What bothered me most was how the water rides did not have their own section of the park. Instead they are spread out throughout the park and you have to carry your regular clothes and water park clothes in between... very inconvenient. One of the main gripes was how they didnt make clear as a first time rider for Boston Tea Party that "shoes" were a requirement. I wasnt the only one that fell victim to this as there were other people in line that did not have shoes. The signs come too late when you have already crossed into the waiting area so I figured we could slip by. Even though we didnt get to ride because of their strict policies the first time (its probably due to safety?), the people running the ride told us we could come back through the back side and we wouldnt have to wait all over in the long line. I suppose that counts for something... I was pleasantly surprised with my first time coming here and definitely wouldnt mind coming back since this place is much closer than Six Flags New England. Ill update the review if I end up going to their Screemfest!

Very upset and disappointed on how the security acted and treated my nephew with diabetes.we went to the park the other day for the Mothers Day special. As we are going through security in the middle those actors. I security bac we went to the park the other day for the Mothers Day special. As we are going through security in the middle those actors. I security officer check my nephew bag that had his blood sugar testing kit, insulin , some snacks and soda so if his sugar got too low we could bring it back up .the officer yelled at him and said you cant have that. We explained that he had diabetes and that he needed that stuff because of his health condition they said they didnt care that the policy was the policy we need to go to guest services. We went to guest services and the lady behind the counter was very rude about what we had in the bag she said we had too much stuff and we were in allowed to bring it all and we could only bring in one can of soda and one bag of goldfish. Which is not except bc if his sugar crash we will be in serious trouble. All the walk food lines are very long like they always are so it wouldnt be easy for us to just go buy food to get a sugar back up. I tried explaining this to them and they just didnt want to listen. We were not just trying to smuggle food into the park so we didnt have to buy food it was because he has a serious medical problem. Well what happens if his sugar dropped more than once that day and we werent able to get him anything we wouldve been calling Im on one from in the park to bring him to the hospital thats just not acceptable to me. We had all the appropriate things that we needed to prove that he had a serious issue. Ive never had a problem coming to the park this is the first time and very upset with the way we were treated .
