What a find. It was a case of chance serendipity (the best kind, no?). I was traveling through a random leg of Georgia, halfway lost and all-the-way in need of coffee to go with my lunch. So, following the closest listing on my phone, I pulled up to Perk Avenue, not expecting anything in particular - but the place was great! Not only did they have good, cheap cold-brew, but a big, cool, elegant dining room, looking like the parlor of a stately old manor. Whats more, the atmosphere was relaxed and leisurely, and the staff were equally laid back (just what I needed after a day of driving). The windows overlooked the towns quaint two-lane main street. High ceilings allowed subtle echoes. A stillness like early morning. Whoa. In the end, I enjoyed a long, soothing meal at Perk Avenue (plus a delightfully clean mens room), leaving me refreshed for the road ahead. Beautiful. So, big thanks to all the good folks at this restaurant, for aiding me on my travels. Keep up the good work : )

I went for lunch and ordered the Mediterranean chicken sandwich . The chicken slice was so thin that you could not taste it. The rest of the sandwich was filler. The house salad was fresh but had stale croutons. The service was slow because the kitchen was slow. The waitress had on daisy dukes and for a middle age women it was inappropriate. They may be ok in a Harley Bar in Waco Texas, but way out of line in Madison, Ga. My friends chicken salad sandwich was less than 1/4 of an inch. Had a bag of zippos chips opened with a dead dill pickle. Please come to Athens to Martis at Midday and see the chicken salad sandwich for the same price. Its at least 4 inches high and you can not eat it all in one sitting. This was a total waste of money today and I will not be back. it is amazing that you are still in business. maybe you have good coffee?

Nice, open restaurant area. We swung by in the late morning for a couple of lattes, a drip, a bagel, and an chai. The bagel appeared to be from a plastic bag purchased at a grocery store...not very good. The drinks though - which was why we were really there - were SPOT ON. Good work on the preparation of the drinks. The cooked food smelled good as well. We tried to return in the evening, but they were closed. We will be returning at least once on this trip to the SouthEast.

Breakfast on 12 and 13 April, 2014 with wife and daughter. We loved not only the coffee but selection of breakfast items. Egg and sausage muffins and quiche were a wonderful low carb breakfast plus scones and muffins. Great place to relax and enjoy breakfast. Made our Madison stay all the more worthwhile. Wait staff was very personable and happy, loved their jobs. this is my kind of place. Thank you all

The food was very tasty and I was happy they offered Cafe Con Leche. The atmosphere and the decor is very comforting and would love to come some night to see a band play. Unfortunately my waitress was pretty inexperienced,, did not come back to check on our order which was wrong. But that wont stop me from visiting again.

Neat coffee shop with good bake goods & even ice cream. Wifi draws lots of writers & work-from-Perk fans. Great venue for regional music groups on Fiday & Saturday nights. Stay there & someone you know or want to know will come by. You will not be a stranger for long here. Nice menu of lunch items served fresh.

Good coffee that doesnt taste like it got scorched like some other popular coffee does. Fresh food and great baked goods. Friendly staff as well. A little pricey and not the largest portions, but Ive never felt like it was a waist of money. I would go more often if it were a little cheaper tho.

I was just passing through town when I saw this great looking courthouse. Left there and found this quaint coffeehouse. Only got a tea, so cant say much about the food. But it is worth a stop. See the photos..

I had the Tuna melt. I wont order it again. Potato salad was really good though. $13 for a coke, small sandwich and scoop of potato salad, then tip.

Little pricey for a cold sandwich, but the place is nice and so is the staff even though I had to flag someone to take my order.
