I have loved this place since I was a kid, and now I bring my 2 yo whenever I can. The walk is easy, and bursting with wildlife. In less than an hour, my daughter and I saw green frogs, a snapping turtle, numerous dragonflies and damselflies, butterflies, and tons of birds. She was delighted! The boardwalk through the wetlands is well maintained, with plenty of covered areas to pause in the shade and enjoy nature. This is a true treasure in Clayton County, and I highly recommend visits throughout the year!!

Newman Wetlands Center is a wonderful place to take a nature walk. The main boardwalk is an easy walk surrounded by a beautiful wetland teeming with wildlife. Its a great place for to learn, to photograph wild life and plants, and to get your nature fix. I go here when Ive had a stressful day and need to unwind. I always feel safe and am thankful for the quiet atmosphere provided by the Clayton County Water Authority.

A pretty little gem in the middle of surburbia. The wetland center has so much to offer year around. The wetlands, trails, and wildlife. Definitely cant forget about that. Ducks, geese, wading birds, songbirds, turtles, frogs, butterflies, and many other insects. Stop by the center and say hello to Danielle. Shes super kind and knowledgeable.
