Seating is great; its hard to get a bad view at this park. Surrounded by trees and nature, its really got a great vibe. My biggest problem is that the staff are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. They wouldnt let us bring in a very small bag that could be worn as a backpack or purse, and yet we saw many other people with actual backpacks inside. They also wont even let you vape in the ampatheater area, you have to go outside one of the gates to do that. There were both security guards and cops on the inside, both taking their jobs way too seriously if you ask me. We were worried about parking, but it really wasnt a problem. We paid the $20 to park at a lot nearby, so we only had to walk about a quarter of a mile, up and down a few hills. There is parking directly across from one of the gates for easier access on foot, but its a bit harder to get in and out of with your car. Still, the traffic wasnt horrible coming in or out, though it was present so definitely leave yourself an extra 15 minutes to deal with that. Make sure you get your merch early, if youre going to, because the merch booth is in a TERRIBLE location where the line directly blocks a major thoroughfare. Its miserable. This is the case with several of their drink vendors too, but luckily there are a lot of alternative options if you dont want to get run over. Bathrooms were nice and kept pretty clean throughout the night- there are multiple options here too if the line ever backs up, but even then the line goes fast because there are so many stalls. All in all, if you keep your nose clean and dont try to bring anything in, or smoke, or cross a security guard, this is a great venue. Seats are pretty uncomfortable, so either bring padding or do a lot of dancing!!

Let me start by saying my issue here is not with the staff, they are great and make the best out of shining this turd that they can, but this is seriously the worst venue in Atlanta. The lawn is a joke (its half a dozen little squares of grass), the sound is terrible, they put chairs in the pit for a freaking Modest Mouse/Brand New show...numbered seats at that. Completely takes away from the whole purpose of having a pit. No smoking or vaping in the venue, not even back near the restrooms, on the lawn, or near refreshment stands. You have to climb a massive staircase and go stand in a corralled area outside to smoke. Then, you cant reenter the venue anywhere else but that same smokers section, so you have to go back through the crowds. For some ungodly reason they put the merch booths in a hallway that everyone has to walk through to get to the bathrooms, or food and drinks, so youve got traffic jams everywhere. If youre not sitting in the first 26 rows, dont expect to hear the show very well. They dont allow late concerts, there are 4 gates but only 2 are actually usable...this entire place is a joke. I still cannot believe they put seats in the pit that they zip tie together so its impossible to move them around. I avoid this place like the plague.

The staff are very friendly, and helpful, but thats the only positive thought that immediately comes to mind regarding this place. The layout is awful. Whomever decided to sell concessions in the same narrow hallway that leads to the bathroom didnt think that one through. Youll have plenty of time to think of new and interesting things to call the designers however while slowly inching your way to the bathrooms or concessions! The lawn section is a joke. I understand the tickets are cheaper, but if youre going to call it a lawn area, I expect there to be an area with somewhere to sit. Its literally a few benches at the very back, and once its filled good luck finding standing areas. On the plus side however, the acoustics sounded much better back there.

This place was absolutely terrible! The gate staff was horrendous! I guess they were told they couldnt allow "string backpacks," which we did not see anywhere on their website about any backpacks. They wouldnt allow me to bring my super small backpack purse that happened to have strings, but theyd let girls with large leather backpacks in. They even let a girl in with a giant messenger bag that hung past her knees. The rules made absolutely no sense. We had taken uber there, so we had no car to put the bag in. It was completely and utterly ridiculous. I hope I dont ever need to go here again. Thankfully I had good seats and beer.

Nice laid back venue, lots of room to bring cooler and picnic if sitting in the orchestra. Sound quality is decent. The "lawn" is nothing more than a few wooden bleachers so I wouldnt recommend. Try to get seats as low to the stage as possible so the awning and light fixtures are not blocking the view. Ample bathrooms and concession stands with reasonable prices. Plenty of free parking on the street but it was a relatively low key show. Otherwise lot parking is about $20. Even then, driving yourself is probably the cheapest way compared to taxi, uber, etc. Will definitely go back for another good show.

Great venue...pretty much any seat in the house will have at least a decent view; sound is of high quality. Seats are not the most comfortable so recommend bringing some type of cushion that you can get for concerts/games or a blanket for padding (if you intend to sit for most of the show). Some shows allow you to bring outside food and drinks, definitely check beforehand as it is very much worth it! Free parking is available if you go all the way to the venue entrance!! There is a ton of paid parking further out that I think people see first and end up utilizing.

Chastain Ampitheater is a pretty awesome arena to enjoy a performance. The acoustics are pretty good and the views are great. The seating is kind of uncomfortable and the lawn area is nominal compared to other outside venues. The setting feels intimate. The hiccups are parking and pre/post concert traffic because the ampitheater is set in a residential area. Luckily police help move people. Be sure to check both the venues website and ticketmaster for events because, with different sponsors, there isnt one easy portal to see a listing of all upcoming events.

This venue would be a great place to see a summer concert if it were not for the horrible, rude mess of people that were talking loudly over songs, walking about non-stop, behaving quite pretentiously, and exhibiting zero musical acumen or respect for the artists performing. I am not describing a small minority of people. I would say 60-70% of the audience behaved this way during the show. It was appalling. I have seen many concerts and by far this was the worst crowd I have ever encountered by a long shot.

Pros: Really nice open air venue with a clear view of the stage and ample leg room and space between rows. Peoples heads wont block you if youre short. Cons: Security needs to be more present. My concert experienced was completely ruined by a drunk guy behind me who harassed me and my friend continually. At first he was passive-aggressive, and then he yelled in our face and physically threatened us. We reported this to security, but they said they couldnt do anything about it unless we knew the guys name.
