Rating: NO STARS!!!, because it will not let you post... it gave itself 1. Visited this business establishment for my sons 17th birthday last night. I hadnt visited this place in quite so time because of the negative treatment I witness towards some children while chaperoning a trip for a summer camp a few years ago. As a family while deciding where to go, in spite of pass experiences,we decided to give them another chance. So we visited AMF Bowling Alley, on University, just pass Taft St.simply to cap off my sons birthday celebration. The night was going wonderful. We were having a great time. Two of the family members left to visit the car for a drink. They were asked not to bring the cups inside, so, the two family members (males), ok, no problem, they chose to finish their drinks in the car. Throw out the cups and proceed to re-enter the place. Strick1! As the night went on and we were finishing up game 5, (keep in mind we were pouring money into this establishment), not only purchasing games, but food and drinks. Because of some sort of issue with another party of African Americans in the place, that did not abide by the request of the manager (Adam), at the end of our late game the, and this group had checked out and left. Strick 2 !The Manager, Adam walks over to our table and ask, " Our we still drinking our alcohol we said, No! theres alcohol here". The male members of our family, replied," you asked us to drink our beverages outside in our car and we did, and threw out the cups. Strike 3! Then the harassment started, Adam then says," well my concession person say you all are getting cups of ice". So we asked, " is there a law on receiving free ice", he is giving it away. Adams say, "No but from the amount of cups of ice it obvious you guys are drinking something. Ok! ice water cause you water fountain was nasty! Your bathrooms were Nasty! Then Adam gets upset because my daughter whose a business personal and understand the procedures on these types of situation, suggested she will be reporting this to the BBB, then Adam wanted to ask us to leave. After I approached him and express the fact that I felt he was sterotyping us based on the other parties action, he then wanted to apologize about not using the correct choice of words, explain to us about his " supposing " college career at FAU, telling us hes not prejudice etc. etc!. We cleared our bill and left. But I would say to any persons of color DONOT GO TO THIS PLACE, yes theyre cheaper than Spartz but you get what you pay for! Remember,as I mentioned earlier Id had previous experience with this same bowling alley but against children. Never experienced any sort of issues at Spartz. It was that this place was closest to us, and we wanted to finish my sons birthday on a good note. According to Adam, this is a family owned business, maybe so, But NOT family oriented when it comes to serving people of color. They want our business but under their terms. Just because the other group disrespected Adams request did not mean that we should have encounter this type of treatment. We were sterotyped and I did NOT appreciate it! WHAT EVER YOU DO DONOT PATRONIZED THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!

Its okay. I dont know if I would go there again. It needs a good cleaning. I lost a few bucks in the game machine. The manager told me that he couldnt help me and scribbled a number down on a piece of paper and told me to call it and they may be able to help me. And they didnt hang an out of order sign on it.

This place was runned down. Staff was not available at the counter to give out the bowling shoes and when some one finally came to help they skipped right over us to the Spanish speaking group instead. The lady at the bar was super nice and helpful... Im sure youll need a drink to be here..

I havent bowled there yet but I popped in one Tuesday to see if I could buy a ball, bag, and shoes. Awesome place! I walked out 15 minutes later with a perfectly drilled ball. Ilovedhowcleanitwas. Ill be sure to bowl there soon.

comparing to over priced lucky strike bowling lanes on lincoln road on south beach, its the perfect place to go. great lanes, great staff, great food and the cost is WAy under $65 an hour. Lucky Strike is a rip off! AMF, priceless!

When we arrived we were able to get a lane without any waiting and the environment is family friendly. Also, the summer pass is a great offer if you plan on making bowling a favorite activity to do over the summer.

The sport is fun in itself but the employees are rude & are quick to cut off the games even though you paid for them. With no return. I will be back for $2 Tuesdays but could care less about the mess I leave.

I wish I could be have it no stars ... My food took over an hour to come ... My bowling scores kept messing up and they had to keep resetting the game ... The help was not helpful at times

Is a disgusting place , their carpets smell bad but the worst part about this place is that their employees are disrespectful , the attention is terrible.
