My experience at Chocolada can be described in one word: passionate. Yes, I know that may be a bit dramatic, but let me explain. I had absolutely no intentions of looking for a bakery the day I found Chocolada; Chocolada found me. What attracted me to this Hollywood hot spot was the live music playing at the entrance. But the lively music was the least of my concerns as soon as I spotted the array of desserts enclosed within the restaurant. It was heaven with a cherry on top. After a pleasurable 15 minutes of trying to decide which dessert to choose, without offending the others of course, I went with the dulce de leche cake. This delectable treat was delivered on a silver platter, complete with a milk chocolate top layer, soft moist vanilla cake center, French vanilla custard and caramel-covered diced peaches. This cake stood no chance; I practically devoured it with my eyes before I actually ate it. Chocolada Bakery & Café not only offers heaven-sent desserts, but also has an impressive dinner menu. From a variety of fancy signature Romanian dishes to family-friendly kids meals, this menu is compatible with even the pickiest eater. However, if you plan on eating a meal here, then you better bring the dough — and I’m not talking doughnuts, sadly. With entrée prices ranging from $10 to $25, it’s easy for college students to spend their week’s worth of food allowance in one night. So if you’re going to stop by, make sure it’s for the dessert, not the dinner. The Cake Enthusiast rates Chocolada’s Bakery & Café a 4 out of 5.

Im not sure how the food is here but I am not even tempted to try it just because of the way I was spoken to by the manager. A short, older bold man with an accent named Alfredo. The establishment is next to a bar with tables outside. I sat at one of the tables to enjoy my drink. He came up to me saying that I needed to move because they can get in trouble because they do not sell liquor. More like ordered not asked because word "please" was no where in what he said. I understood the cituation. I was going to move in a minute. As soon as he stepped away he came right back and said that I needed to move right this second and not when I wanted to. I founded that that was rude and uncalled for. I came up to him and informed him that there was a much better way for him to address the cituation and because of the way I was spoken to I will never come to this establishment. To which he proceeded to yell that its fine by him and that "you dont belong here anyway!" Along with some other just as rude phrases that were hard to understand because of his accent. I would like to point out that I did not yell at him and do not believe I deserve to be yelled at especially in front of a number of customers that were alredy sitting outside. Extremely rude manager so go at your own risk. I do not believe this place deserves a star at all. I do not understand how you can run a business and alow yourself to speak to people in this way.

I havent gone to Chocolada since the baker was a Russian woman- she is no longer there and I went this past weekend for a mini get together. The place was packed. The ambiance was nice. The music (live entertainment) was very nice also- there were some songs that didnt suit her voice but overall she did great. Our server was a sweet girl and did a very good job. She was personable and attentive- humorous and down to earth. Chocolada is lucky to have Maria! I dont know about the other servers. The food was good- a little small (the menu photos showed the portions to be bigger) but delicious nonetheless. I love their coffee and desserts also. Had a cappuccino and a latte- dessert as well and purchased the dessert in addition to several cookies to take home. I have always liked this place and even more so now. Definitely will go back there within the next few months with a group of people. Recommend it to all who want to enjoy and relax!

If you are looking for a truly enjoyable evening with friends/family or both look no further... Chocolad in Hollywood,Florida takes the Oscar for good food, great service, wonderful live Entertainment and warm hospitality. It is extremely rare no matter where you live or visit to get all of these qualities combined in one place, most of all consistency. We have been there for lunch and dinner and always have a wonderful experience. I was there with my sister and her husband. She had the stuffed cabbage done according to a romanian recipe. He had one of the daiy specials, chicken Florentine and I had the chicken Marsala. All very yummy, followed by chocolate mousse which we polished off. The prices are amazingly inexpensive. You get so much value for what you pay. And then theres THE BAKERY !! OMG. The owners Dori & Michael came over to schmooze with us and we had a great conversation and lots of laughs. What are you waiting for ?????

I cannot believe how rude Olga is. The staff is mostly new and have no idea what they are doing. It looks like chaos even when its slow. Olga was so rude to me. She refused to help me when my order to-go was incorrect. After i asked for a manager, she then told me she will help me, but she had to take care of everyone that was in line first. The line was practically to the door! I insisted that she simply informs the kitchen of their mistake so at least they can begin working on my food as i was on my way to work. She says, "excuse me mam, i will get to you when i can", and continues to get the next guest as if i wasnt important. I felt like since i wasnt of her ethnicity, i wasnt important. I just left because i felt myself getting very angry. Olga is disgusting! Ive been coming here for years. I will never go back until Olga is fired.

We are locals and love to come to Chocolada. We are going taking our scooter there this morning for breakfast. It makes us feel like we are on a mini vacation. Service is always friendly and the cappuccino is the best in town. Yes, much better than Starbucks. When we have a party to go to we always order the Dantella cake and it becomes the talk of the party. I am so happy that we chose Hollywood as our "forever home" . We have the best downtown area with the best coffee shop in all of South Florida!!!. I must say that sometimes you have to wait a little while during season, but who cannot enjoy a nice South Florida evening sitting under a big tree watching the people go by while listening to nice music. This is enough for me. I love this place <3
