WORSTcustomer service I have ever experienced in my life!!!!!!!!!! This is the first review I have ever written and feel that any potential customer should be informed. I purchased 2 vouchers from gotta-halfit for a 1hour lesson/tour for $ 19.00 each in December for myself and the other for a gift. I called Ft. Lauderdale Stan-Up Paddle to make a reservation in the beginning of June and left a voice message letting them know I was interested in making a reservation. I recieved a call back two days later from Tatiana, letting her know I wanted to make appt for 2 one hour lessons, she then asked me if it was a groupon/gottahalf it. I told her yes, and i would like to know when she had available. She stated"she didnt have her reservation book with her and that she would call back"...she never did!! I then called a few days later and Tatiana said "she was out to lunch and she didnt have her reservation book" and said for me to call back in a few hours. Well I did call back a few hours later and guess what...no one answered, so I once again, left a voice message. The next week, I called again and spoke with Tatiana, and told her I had been leaving messages and that she wasnt returning my calls and only wanted to use my vouchers. She told me, she didnt have anything available that weekend, and the next weekend was going to be out of town. We actually had a nice conversation about her trip, she told me she had the following saturday available, (which was this past weekend). I asked her if she would honor an extension to the voucher since it expired June 22, and seeing the difficulty I had been having trying to make a reservation, she said sure, no problem. She told me where to meet her/someone else and to go alittle early to fill out some papers. My friend and I were very excited to try this and had been looking forward for months. We arrived at the location she told us to be and......she was not there, nor was any other person from her company. I was informed by a worker at location there, that Tatiana had messaged her that morning to ask if she could use the dock for the day. The worker told her no that she had another company using the area. My friend was told by that company to go and try another location that they may be at....well they were not there. We then went on a mission to find their office to see what had happened and to possibly still go. We found it after stopping at two more places. She was not there, a note was that said gone paddeling. It evidently wasnt with us. I for the last time, left a message and it is now the next day and still nothing. I woke up this morning to find that they are showing a "special" on living social and felt compelled to write. I went on their website and found the section for reviews on yelp and google and wished that I had seen all of the bad ones, most of those were ones that were bought online.I would have definitely not have bought anything from her company. I guess she doesnt feel the importance of honoring them because they were not full price. I have been in the customer service industry for most of my life and this is the WORST that I have ever experienced. I really hope that she reads this and makes some changes on how she runs her business. I am a local native from this area, and its too bad that this is the way she handles her business, she would have gotten ALOT of business from me. Well now this is what she gets...a very honest review!!!!!. PLEASE save your money and find another reputable company

My daughter and I were in the Lauderdale area for the weekend and I saw the Living Social deal running for Fort Lauderdale SUP. Im an avid kayaker but have never SUPd so we decided to give it a try. I purchased the deal and then emailed the company. They got back to me quickly via email and said theyd be able to add us to another group. The Living Social deal actually states that they need 48-72 hours notice for a class, but it only says that after you purchase (which Im sure is not FLSUPs fault). Tatiana was very nice via email and phone. When we arrived at the location there was no one from the company there but after a few minutes, they paddled up with a group which had gone out earlier in the day. The first instructor we spoke with gave us the basics and let us go out on the water while we waited for the rest of the group to get outfitted. He even checked to see that we had sunscreen, etc. Once everyone was out on the water they were sure to check that we were comfortable and understood how to paddle and turn. We paddled through the intercoastal for an hour and then returned which made for a 2 hour paddle. My daughter had never paddled anything in her life, so it took us longer than the rest of the group to return. Our instructor waited and came back to check on us and let the group head up to the dock without him so he could stay with us slow folks. I found Stand Up Paddling to be relaxing and fun. We will definitely go again and had a great experience with this company. A little tip: Bring a cold bottle of water, it can easily be strapped to the back of the board--its hot out there!

DONT EVER PAY FOR A PADDLEBOARD LESSON HERE! Our instructor was nice, so I feel bad writing this, but I have a thing about getting scammed, and this was a total rip off. We paid $45 each for a lesson for a group of 3. They added 5 more people in our group, and those 5 people only had to pay $35. Tatiana told me that this is because they brought in a group of 5, but the website states that if it is a lesson for up to 4 people it is $45/person, and if it is 5 or more it is $35/person, not the way she described it. Also, there is a Yelp deal apparently that she did not inform us about even though she must have known I was not happy with the false web advertising when I was talking to her on the phone. The worst part is that there is no lesson. You basically pay this guy to paddle board with you, and he doesnt teach you ANYTHING. He told us how to stand on the board, but I think if you simply went to a place and rented a paddleboard, the staff would explain to you how to stand up. That is just considered good customer service. There are deals all the time on Groupon and Living Social at reputable places for $15-20 to rent the paddleboard for 2 hours. The instructor also went ahead of everyone for a while and was not aware of where the whole group was, and there were kids in my group. He eventually came back to where I was with a ~5 year old.

~HIghly recommend!~ I recently went to the beach and saw these people standing up on what looked like a surf board with a paddle. They looked like they were having so much fun. So I went home that day and googled Fort Lauderdale Stand Up Paddle Boarding. And this company came up so I gave a look at the website. I saw the AMAZING photos of the people paddle boarding and I new then I had to TRY IT. So after looking up some of the cool things like yoga boarding and boot camp I figured for my first time Id start with a lesson and a tour.I called the number on the website and a lovely woman named Tatiana, the owner , picked up the phone. She was so nice. We talked about the sport and how the business got started and she made me feel important that my experience would be great. So I booked a lesson and the instructor was great. He taught us the basics of the paddle movements, made sure we had sunscreen on, and plenty of water. We started out on our knees and I have bad balance and even I stood up with great instruction! Then He gave a great tour of the surrounding waterways and was very sociable. I recommend this company, they care about the experience you have for your first time paddle boarding and will help you with every step of the way learning. Go on a beautiful sunny day and youll have a great time!
