Oh where to begin. We had Captain Chris take us out last night, who is also owner of this awful company. He started by hiding one of the bags of food we gave him in a dockside locker, then tried to tell us to "forget about it" like it shouldnt matter!? Rude doesnt describe this guy. Over the course of the next two hours with this guy, he insulted us several times - he called us uptight, awkward, and made fun of us when we asked him to turn his music down. He was blasting music he picked and rocking out by himself; we couldnt even hear each other. When we asked him to put country on, he refused. He turned the lights off on us while we were eating dinner on the cruise and refused to turn them back on. Then he took two of our beers out of the fridge and drank them while on the cruise!? Cursed the whole time, kept inserting himself into the conversation. Oh yeah, then he peed off the dock when we got back to Bahia Mar. Were pretty sure he was drunk. Go elsewhere.

Found them through TripAdvisor and their online booking was fast and easy, done same day. Capt Rocco was outstanding as our host and made the 2-hour cruise around the intracoastal a wonderful afternoon. Seeing and hearing about the estate homes was fascinating and being a local made it more interesting to know the whos who of the town. Its BYOB which makes it nice to pack your own stuff. Rocco had soft drinks and water available as well. Our trip had perfect weather so the windows were up, and was a week after the Intl Boat Show, so many of the mega-yachts were still around to view, including Steven Spielbergs 250ft behemoth.

If you want a near private boat tour of the waterways around Fort Lauderdale this is your guy. The boat is charming and holds 6 plus the tour guide. We had four in our group. Chris was a very easy going guide. Bring your own drink and food. He supplies water and ice. The boat is covered so your protected from the sun. You can book online, but I just called. The price was very reasonable. This was way better than going on the big boat with all the old people.

This by far was a GREAT experience and surprise for my wife. I booked this for our 15 yr anniversary celebration and got lucky that we were the only 2 on what my wife described as romantic and calming. The ride was quiet and we had Dave the best tour guide around show us the area and tell the history of Ft. Lauderdale. Will recommend to our friends and will take another trip for sure with Gondolas West.

My wife and I took this tour yesterday. This was a great tour of the canals, highly recommended. The boat holds approx 6 people, so it is a very different experience than some of the larger tours. The captain was very knowledgeable and answered many questions. Soft drinks were provided, and we were encouraged to bring snacks/wine with us, if desired.

Best way to explore the canals of Fort Lauderdale from a different vantage point. The boat is comfortable with an electric motor that makes no noise. It was interesting to see all the wildlife, yachts, and houses. Wish there would have been more of a tour aspect with interesting facts or stories about the places we went past.

There were 6 of us, first time in Florida and first time on a boat. Nick (our tour guide) was very nice, friendly and very thorough with the tour. The price was worth it for 2 hour ride. We all learned and experienced many new things. We would all recommend Gondolas West for a nice peaceful boat tour we family/friends.

Our Captain, Houston was a helpful guide who pointed out several homes along the canals. We mostly enjoyed seeing the large homes and boats on the water. The electric boat was a nice touch as it was completely silent. We especially enjoyed seeing all the green iguanas.
