Played there today for the first time. Really didnt have high expectations based on some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. The starter couldnt have been more helpful. After he asked if this was my first time there, he made sure i knew where 1 and 10 tees were and where the range and practice greens were. While its not WGV, this is a nice course. Fair priced fun layout with a few elevated tee boxes and some challenging water carries. Most of the fairways are pretty wide. Greens and tee boxes were in fantastic shape. A couple of the greens did have a few patches of mismatched grass but it was cut the same as the rest of the green and really did not affect the putts. The bermuda rough was cut low enough to not hide your ball but still made you pay by being tough to hit out of. Accurate shots are rewarded with nice tight cut fairways. Its about 15-20 minutes further than Im used to driving but will definitely be back often.

Played the course on Nov 7th and found it to be in excellent shape! I made a tee time directly with the pro shop and came back a few hours later to play - check in was a breeze and Tommy was very cordial and accommodating. Hank did a great job getting me set to play, explained the course and things to consider during the round. The course layout is exceptional - it can be challenging from some of the tee locations! The value was good and I met a very interesting couple from California - they both played well. I will play again when I return to this area.

Played here in early August 2017 and the greens were in rough shape, but other than that the course was in good condition. Prices are fair, they could probably up their green fees to renovate some of their putting surfaces, but Id play at St. Johns again before going somewhere else. Bring your bug spray, or youll regret it. Rental clubs are $15 and better quality than rentals youll find at a lot of courses. Didnt see any gators this year, but theyre out there.

Over half if the greens have large dead spots in them, no mention of this prior to starting. Hope you dont get behind the mens association group, they are VERY SLOW, and make waiting on every shot a sure thing. I would like to say the staff couldnt have been more helpful and attentive. If the greens were in shape i wouldnt have A problem with playing there again.

Course is in better shape than it used to be. Greens are in good shape but they are slow. If you like fast greens, may not be your spot. Good value for the money though and most convenient full length course near downtown St Augustine.
