I absolutely LOVED Kennedys. The small town atmosphere is sure to draw you in. Within five seconds of entering the bar we were greeted by some of the areas most beautiful ladies. And dont get me started on the karaoke! Kennedys provided no drink specials, exemplifying the egalitarian structure it boasts about the Cape Canaveral area. Ladies night? Not at Kennedys! The more than friendly bar patrons will chat with you about anything, covering a broad range of topics from growing up in the area and engineering to cigarettes and raising their children. Talk about an adventure. Also, they dont take accept any debit cards. My friends thought this was a bad thing, but I think it adds even more to the culture that Kennedys has willed upon its patrons. If I had to pick the biggest negative it would probably double as Kennedys biggest strength--theres no longer a payphone attached to the booth outside. I normally run out with a roll of quarters to make my evening calls, but with no phone in site I was able to focus on an unbelievable night out with friends. Lastly, the location couldnt be much better. Sandwiched between another bar and a few back alleys, you never know what youll find at Kennedys. Kennedys is the perfect venue for any situation. Evening drink? Check. Good lunch? Bingo. Blowing off steam by singing a few classic songs on the karaoke machine? Perfect. Youll be hard pressed to find a place like Kennedys anywhere else in the area. Its a must see! - Patty C.

We have been to Kennedys at least ten times we had heard so much about the karaoke and we are hugh karaoke lovers. first off the bartender was very rude and we had her so much about the karaoke guy Big Daddy well we were not impressed the man who was pretending to be Big Daddy was at best an average singer and we had heard what a great singer he was and he had no idea how to set the sound so bad service bad karaoke we left after an hour. But when i told my cowoker that had told me to go there he was shocked. After he talkeds us into going back the same atractive bartender was still very rude even though the flashing made my husbands night but wow the real Big Daddy was there he is by far the best anywhere his voice is professional the sound was Great. So now we go back when we can we just go to the otherside to get our drinks. I think if you want to go to a fun place its worth the drive.

Im giving this bar a 3 because its too smoky and really should consider becoming smoke-free to make it more appealing. However, it is NOT a sleezy bar, as some call it, the bartenders were nice, the patrons were cool and this place does not deserve to be called anything other than the LAMP Post. We were overwhelmed by the stench of cigarette smoke but intrigued by BIG DADDY Karaoke, so my friends and I stayed for one drink and a song. Honestly, the prices are too high for mixed drinks and its not as busy as it could be with such awesome KJs. I could barely sing one song because the smoke was too much. Get with the times and maybe have the karaoke side non-smoking...perhaps well be back.

I had travelled there with a friend of mine and drank a beer in the bigger bar playing techno music. My friend was in the kareoke side,and I went to get her as it was time to go home. I didnt have enough for another beer so I asked for a water. After sitting there 10 mins waiting for my friend this short blonde haired older woman that looked like an old lesbian, literally screamed at me and told me to leave. So trust me theyll never see my business ever again. Plus most the ppl in there were basically toothless rednecks, not the crowd I want to be associated with

Really wanted to enjoy my first visit to Kennedys tonight. It reminded me of the character-full hole-in the-walls found throughout me hometown of Chicago. Unfortunately, the bartender thought it good idea to scream at me and bang on the bar when I waited to order until she verified my hockey game could be found on their cable plan (on NBC Sports). Maybe Ill give it another shot sometime, but this is definitely strike one.

Been coming to the Lamp Post for 13 plus years..NEVER has a Bartender been rude to me, & trust me, theyve been through some bartenders! The so called "Rude" , "Old" , "Skancks" , & "Hags" , are obviously the ones you never took the time to get to know! "Too much smoke?" There are other bars along the way...hit them up! But I guarantee. .you wont have as much fun!!! Quit yer bitchin or dont come in!! Simple as that yall! !!

I was not impressed with this place at all. We went here a couple times and every time the bartender on the karaoke side was extremely rude...especially if your pretty. Also it stunk like urine and must. I spoke to the owner about the rude disrespectful service and she didnt even care....WOW! The bartender was named Joy...I would recommend never going there.

a lot of old female bar hags... skeezers and scumbags, drug deals took place right in front of us, as if they didnt care that others saw what they were doing, the bartender was way beyond rude snooty with no reason to be she was hideous. i WILL NEVER BE BACK!! and will tell everyone i know about my awful awful experience.

Help is friendly,dont get here often only when Im visiting.n less than a year ago I hadnt been there for almost16 years.it is a local bar,l live about30 minutes south of here but in this area you have a bunch of tourists and the locals need a place to go This is the perfect place for a"local" to have a great time.

I hung out there last night. I had a total blast. It was a very eclectic bunch!! Many really great singers turned out. The usual not so great ones showed up to but they were kept to a minimum. It was just the right balance of trashy and classy. I had a great time. Ill definitely visit again.

Went to this bar with my boyfriend for karaoke and the bartender was extremely extremely rude to us. We didnt stay and will never go back. Went to another bar and heard from that bartender that the bartender we had a problem with is known to be rude and also flashes people. Gross.

Smoke was awful. Bartender (Briggs?) was great. "Tina Turner" the karaoke lady was awful. Very unfriendly, no personality, catered to the locals, and monopolized the microphone to sing herself when she had plenty of people who signed up to sing.

Many things can be said about a lamp post. But certainly the most interesting one would be Kennedys Lamp Post. Drinks are decently priced, dom drafts are cheap and the crowd diverse.

Only really love this place because of Ursula other then that there are some good pool players and drink specials here Wednesday import night $2 cant beat a Heineken for $2.

Its cozzy friendly. Live. Drinks are reasonable bartenders are quick. You have a bar on one side n pool hall on the other side. Absolutly loved my experience
