We have enjoyed going to Wise Guys since it opened, partly because its so close to home. The atmosphere is classy yet casual. We used to be able to pop in at the last minute, but it has gotten so popular that we know now to make reservations! Last night, we did just that and went for our sons 25th birthday dinner. Sam was our server and he was very attentive, but did not hover (a big plus for me!). We love the small plates, so we ordered a few. Each one was perfect, presentation was beautiful and the food was quite tasty (and filling - not so small after all!). We needed a bit more crostini to go with and Sam promptly brought more. Sam recommended a wine for me, and he was spot on. Prices arent cheap, but the food, drinks, service and atmosphere are well worth the cost. And, we got a complimentary birthday dessert! All in all, a fabulous evening! I highly recommend WGs for special evenings, casual dinners, or just a couple of glasses of wine with friends and family.

Where to start.... The steaks were undercooked, mine was supposed to be medium and came out medium rare (I almost got medium rare but Im glad I didnt) and it cost about 20 something dollars and my dad was supposed to be medium rare but it was rare instead. He also said it was hard to cut and he was debating asking for a butcher knife from the kitchen so he could cut it. His cost 30 something dollars. The lobster that my brother got was only about the size of his fist but it cost 19 dollars. The grits was okay, but the Mac and cheese had a weird taste. The green beans were hard and still had their tips on them. And the potatoes were gross. We also got bread and tomato basil sauce (I think thats what it was) and the oil in the sauce was bitter. Also, the time we had to wait between seeing our waitress was ridiculous. Our whole meal cost over 100 dollars. Needless to say, we were all very upset.

Okay the food was DELICIOUS. YET, very expensive! The amount of food on the other hand was big, I got the meatloaf and I had food for 2 days. Lol. So these would make me give 5 stars. BUT, since I rate an expensive "higher" restaurant and to a burger place, I am strict with the view and the beauty of the place in general. i had a seat outside and 1. The space was small, 2. There was no view except from parking cars right in front of us. Inside is dark, so if you want to at least enjoy daylight...forget it. If you want at night a nice atmosphere and you go inside...then you might give the extra star. The lady who served us was wonderful! Suggested plates for us and we loved everything. Polite and smiley. I dont remember her name but she mentioned she is Portuguese. Find her, she will makw your food worth ans make your experience better there.

This was one of the worst experiences while we vacationed on HHI. The food was horrible, and when they say small plates, they mean VERY smallt. I understand they advertised the plates were small, but this was ridiculous for what we were charged. I got the salmon, it was horribly overcooked when I asked for rare, it was also the smallest portion I have ever seen. It was tiny, and I thought I would at least get an ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes. That is not the case, you barely get a teaspoon. We were also surrounded by pompous arrogant customers. If you want to go somewhere to "be seen" I guess this might fit the bill, but if you actually want something to eat and get full, look elsewhere.

We almost didnt go because some of the reviews said it took forever to get food and the service sucked. First, these reviews are either outright lies or unavoidable irregular events. This is hands down the best restaurant Ive eaten at in Hilton Head. Ive been coming to HHI for about six years. Granted I havent eaten everywhere but I was big city blown away by what they produced. Steak was exactly as described: tender, buttery, and flavorful. My wife enjoyed her meal as well. This will be a must go destination from here on out. Great, great service. This is not a fake review. My name is Matt Silva and I run a law firm in NC ... Look me up if you are worried about spoof reviews.

Excellent! Their service was marvelous! We had an upscale, 5 star restaurant experience. From the modern look to the pristine waiters, the whole visit was very impessive. The food was wonderful and it was worth the slight elevation of price. It was worth every penny even to dessert (I recommend the Chocolate Lava Cake personally). Also, the wait time was very low. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. We will be back later this week. (Ask for the waiter Sam. He was fantastic! Very professional and personal.)

Last night was my first visit to your restaurant. Our waiter (Sam) was fantastic!! I knew hed have to be good....He has the same name as my grandson!! The service was outstanding!!! The food is the best I have had in the Hilton Head area....by far!! If anyone reading this is in the Hilton Head area, dont miss this restaurant!!! I had the scallops and wild mushroom risotto, and it was fantastic but everything that was ordered at the table was outstanding. Well be returning to Wise Guys again...very soon.

A seat in the cozy dining room, a fun high top at the bar or enjoy an outside table, you decide! The food is exquisite. We tried a new appetizer - pulled pork Mac and cheese pizza, absolutely delicious! I highly recommend the Wise Guy salad, greens, candied pecans, cheese crumbles and apples with a creamy balsamic dressing. Our entrees were the crab fillet and short rib, both served with mashed potato and green beans. As always cooked to perfection and did not disappoint!

We had a large party, but it was a great dining experience. I ordered the twin filets encrusted with crab cake (aka topped with a mini crab cake). I wasnt a fan of the sauce, but it wasnt horrible with the crab cake. It was a bit pricey, and I want to try out the early dining options here. My sister ordered the chocolate fondue dessert and shared it. It was neat. I wish I had room for the flight of creme brulee, but I ate my meal.

Dont eat there!! Unless you have a couple of hours to kill sitting on uncomfy seats listening to bad music with a MIA waitress waiting for your food which they eventually remember to order after you find someone to complain to and then get the steaks mixed up so that I had to eat a medium instead of med-well. At least they realized how badly they screwed up and comped our meal. I knew I should haved ordered more drinks....

Creative gourmet small plates - absolutely delicious, ALMOST worth having to shout to talk to your dining companion. Maybe they need a Quiet Corner for those of us who enjoy conversation with our meals. Or maybe they only want to attract the younger crowd which apparently needs noise to assure them that they are having fun! And although this review is shown with 5 stars - I only gave it 3; apparently 5 is a default!
