Great venue for music There seems to be a shortage of adventurous venues in Savannah, as far as booking acts who dont fit within a specific genre. I appreciate that the Wormhole has diversity concerning the artists who perform there; Ive seen so many different kinds of bands, from dubstep to psychobilly to hip-hop to doom metal to noise-core...the list is ridiculous.
Its a pretty basic operation, but they have a decent selection of beers and liquor, and standard bar fare (pizza, cheese sticks, corn dogs, etc.) to soak up the excess alcohol if youre so inclined. I have noticed that their PA and light system have gotten better and better, and the sound at shows is probably the best Ive heard in the city (as far as bar shows and that ilk). Nowhere near as loud as other places, or as poorly mixed.
If youre a fan of live music, this place is definitely worth checking out.

The Wormhole has excellent shows that you wont get to see at every day bars. Its a great place for real music fans looking for something different. They book all styles too so even metal heads can see a good show. Bluegrass, folk, electronica, soundscapes, every variety-just look on the calendar for what you might like. Its a really good space and friendly staff. Its the newest venue and is growing, adding to the music scene with the Jinx and Live Wire to help make Savannah a place for music.

I waited over an hour to get a burger that I ordered. The bartender filling in was rude to some of my friends that were with me that night. I dont drink so had just come to play pool with them. They had NO chalk on one table and one piece on another table. Now, 3 days later that have hit ALL 4 of us with a $20 charge for no reason whatsoever. On the phone with my bank now trying to get this straightened out. I ordered $8.xx in food and was charged $30+. WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!

Went to 8 pm show on 11-7-15. Venue was trashy and in a bad neighbourhood. Comedians were not funny at all. Several people got up and left to include us. I paid for up front table but the speaker was so loud we had to vacate the table and move back since the sound guy wouldnt turn it down a little. $15 dollars for two small plastic cups of wine and a coke. Left feeling ripped off and will not return. Suggest you dont either.

Played a show there earlier this year. Sound was good. Good communication with sound dude. I like the drink specials and the crowd was awesome! Will definantly play there again. Wish they could have a better selection of food. It was also a long way to load in from the door to the stage through the crowd, but, the response of the people while we were rocking the stage made up for the other stuff.

I saw the Hellzaboppin freakshow there and it was packed out. I saw Papadosio there and the sound was awesome, the light show killer, and the crowd was a having a blast. Good cheap drinks. The only problem I had was the line at the mens room, because one was broken. If you go right after work it is dead though, but it is also happy hour.

weird place, has live comedy on some nights and karaoke on others, the place is a strange confluence of odd objects, it also has a pool table off on the side, and some arcade games on the other, yet it remains to be some kind of strange bar environment with a mix of people coming in. interesting place, worth a stop.

Stopped in after seeing the bare while driving by. The good is excellent, there is quirky live music, the drinks are fairly priced, and the staff is fantastic. So their pool table isnt the best, its cheap and still fun! And who doesnt love a good round of the classic Killer Instinct?

The Wormhole is my favorite bar in Savannah. Best bartenders, amazing food, fun events, and for the most part great people running around. I also love playing music there, either open mics or if my band gets a gig. Best sound in town.

Interesting place for sure. Wide variety of things going , comedy , karaoke , live bands pool and darts. Small outside seating area. Neighborhood does require caution . Food is pretty good but not a highlight. Go for the atmosphere.

Great hole in the wall bar. Great shows too. If you dont like hole in the wall bars, dont bother writing a review about how you dont like this place. Just move on downtown and enjoy being over-charged and under-served.

In my neighborhood, Longboarding distance. Awesome Sci-Fi theme, especially for a VFX and Film student like me. Friendly staff, awesome chill atmosphere, and great drinks. And the music isnt bad either. ;)

Supremely comfortable, casual, and fun bar with awesome burgers and live music. I caught some Karaoke on my visit. Nothing better than intoxicated Americans butchering their favorite songs.

Always good to catch an open mic sesh with affordable drinks and a great vibe watering hole. Late nights on the weekends will usually have the best underground House music in the city.

Good place to chill and see bands, also animal friendly. Saw green jelly there and had a blast. Just wish they had better/bigger bands come through.

Super chill spot with some nice drink options. Happened by on a stand up comedy night and it was certainly worth my time, and money.

Only downside is that its kind of a dive. But if thats what youre looking for, and often I am, its not really a downside at all.

We just moved to Savannah from Knoxville. All I can say is that it is a geeks dream, and the staff is wonderful.

Came in wondering. Left knowing they left me feeling welcome, buzzed from cool brew, and music from the 80s too
