I had really high hopes after hearing all the great reviews from friends and family. I was in the market for a trio of guppies. (A male and 2 females) The first guppy tank I found had a dead dwarf corydora being snacked on by its tank mates. The second tank was a bit better and I did end up purchasing the fish. Only because I didnt want to purchase from a chain store. I was interested in getting some plants as well, but the plants all had browning leaves. I was observing the salt water tanks and noticed the disgusting filters had not been cleaned. The birds were in horrible 12 inch by 12 inch cages. Do not buy any equipment or supplies here. I saw the same little 2 inch container of food that came with my cheap ten gallon being sold for $7. The containers they kept the bettas in were actually crueler than Petco. The larger male fish could not turn around. Not to mention the water was freezing. I actually counted two dead bettas. I over heard conversations between employees and customers. One misinformed lady with her young daughter planned on setting up a tank and getting fish the very next day. The enployee either was equally clueless or knew nothing about the nitrogen cycle. Or maybe they just wanted to make a sale. I feel horrified to say this, but I have seen better care for the well being of animals from Petco.

Good selection but most of their fish are juveniles and cant be sexed yet which makes it hard for finding a spawning pair if it is what you need! I also found that they OVER charge for fish tanks and supplies such as the actual tank, stands, lights, and filters. I did like some of their fish but still a bit overpriced, they really pushed to get stuff at maximum price and I find it rude and disrespectful, saying what they were selling me is not the top of the market and I have been in the game a long time! They always have a bunch of tubes and stuff so you got to be careful what you look for , and the fish are often mismatched. I would occasionally find a discus here or there but couldnt find even an older juvenile-young adult that had much color, which they were still charging for 65-80 dollars for what I would say are worth 30-40 at most. They did have a nice selection of tropical fish ranging from fantasy guppies to arowanas, catfish, etc. so I dont recommend buying much more than fish here!

Been going there for 3 years, great product selection from people that actually know about aquatic life both freshwater and saltwater. Prices are higher than Amazon of course but you will get expert advice on anything you can think of. Its worth paying a little more to support local and get expert advice. I would hate to see this place go, its a weekend treat of mine to pay them a visit with the kids to see all the cool animals and to pick up odds and ends for our tanks. Their fish are very healthy too!

Extremely knowledgeable, extremely reliable, a massive collection of fish, as well as accessories/decor/food and pond speciality. They also can diagnosis a fishs illness by photos/videos or by bringing the fish in. They also can find homes for those fish that get a little to big for their owners. I highly recommend them to any beginners wanting to own fish

Very high salt water fish prices walked out will prob not buy live stock there again just parts aquatic wildlife the place to go great selection more then fair prices. Steve you have been in business for years you have gotten out of touch
