Ryan at Jazzmen is simply amazing! He purchased his first baby grand for his store from me in exchange for pro accordion lessons for my wife, as well as mixing lessons for myself which have entirely changed my perception on how I mix a multi-track recording in just a few hours. On top of that, months later, he donated a full fish tank ecosystem to my classroom which the kids loved and learned from. Most recently, Ryan advised me on the purchase of a 1897 Steinway and even volunteered to help me move and restore it. Ryan can disassemble and reconstruct a piano with ease. He cleans, tunes, debugs, and lovingly restores. He comes across like a piano-McGyver; fashioning, for example, a new and perfectly functional pad out of materials we had lying around the house and some old piano parts from his shop. When something is beyond his repair, he has all the contacts for who can do it, and he knows what things will cost. Incidentally, Ryan is an amazing musician.

I would just like to add yet another praising review for Jazzmen. We were looking to buy a used piano for my son and were totally newbies at picking out one for quality and still needing help with delivery and service. We stumbled upon Jazzmen purely by accident, (story for another time), and Ryan was in the middle of a personal party as it was a Sunday. Instead of following the template of 90% of other Connecticut businesses and telling us to piss off, he stopped what he was doing and graciously showed s what turned out to be my sons dream piano. Ryan kept us up to date over the next week via texts and delivered right on time to my front door. He tuned it and even threw in a free stool which he said he had acquired by chance that week. It got a little out of tune from its being tuned after all the years and the moving, and guess who was more than happy to show up and give it a tweak. RYAN. BUY FROM HIM. Hes awesome.

I bought my baby grand from Jazzmen and the service was far beyond excellent!! The owner was low on stock when I contacted him over the phone, and he told me to come in with a deposit so he could find one in my price range. Then he went out and found the perfect high end piano for me, tuned it, made the finish look brand new, and even delivered it for only $400 after my initial deposit which he spent on the instrument. I ended up with a piano worth over ten grand that amazed my wife (which is a priority in my household.) and Im glad I went to a professional to purchase something I know very little about, I also learned allot about buying pianos from all the photos and bios of pianos he sent me which got me hyped for getting one in my living room!! If you want a honest person treating you like your their best friend, go to this place! James.

My 7 year old has been taking lessons with Ryan for two years and loves it! Ryan takes his time with him and my son truly enjoys learning with him. As a teacher Ryan is extremely knowledgeable with all musical instruments; how theyre played and the history behind each piece. Hes fun and makes learning a great experience. He has a great selection of pianos he takes great pride in caring for and sells them at a tremendous price. Ive looked for pianos online and Ryans are not only nicer, but they are half the price (and he tunes them and delivers them!!). A very honest man that anyone would be happy working with!

Ryan runs a reputable used piano business & thats the bottom line. His prices are fair for what what you are getting on a used piano. Sometimes you can find a real good deal. I saw a rebuilt Steinert Piano he had for sale in 2016 and at that moment, I knew I had persuade my wife to upgrade. Now, we own a piano that sings like a Steinway without the extra thousands of dollar associated with Steinway. Check out his inventory often and youll see he sells lots of pianos.
