I wish I can give Jones Family Farms 5 *s but I cannot after my experience there with my family. We did the wine tasting (9 people) and purchased multiple bottles at the check out. While at check out, no one informed us that we were not able to open the bottles on property. We walked over to the picnic tables with our tasting glasses and opened a bottle of wine. One of the staff members (a young female) walked over and asked us if we needed anything and then went back into the main building. About 30 minutes later (on our 2nd bottle of wine) a 2nd girl comes down and told us that we were not able to have open bottles on property, we said okay and she left. While we were trying to finish up the opened bottle before leaving ... the owner (older female) came charging down the hill with a body guard to escort us off the property. Yelling at us that we were not abiding by the rules so we were not welcome. She did not let anyone speak, she simply yelled at us, embarrassed us and kicked 9 paying customers off the property. I am a business owner... I would have NEVER treated my clients this way if they were never informed about the policy in the 1st place (and also after an employee saw the open bottle but did not say anything). I would have offered to replace the already opened bottle with a sealed one (so we can take it home) and apologized for the inconvenience. We were there on Sunday August 21, 2016

Weve been here many times before, so maybe this was an isolated bad experience, but we were treated so rudely by staff at the winery! First, I was told to wait on the bench by the door with my husband and two kids since we were "in the way" standing behind the crowded tasting bar. Then, when the hostess came to inform the large group I was with that they were ready to do our tastings, she rudely shouted down to me "youre not allowed to bring wine or food in to the tasting so you need to finish that now" (referring to my glass and cheese plate). Then, I needed to leave the tasting at the very end because my daughter started crying (my husband stayed to pay), and apparently this same woman got on his case because "shes not allowed to leave with her tasting." This hostess in particular was rude and extremely unwelcoming. She made another appearance to our group when one other person had left his tasting early, she came out and said loudly "can you come finish your tasting so the girl can get her break?!" As it is Im disappointed with Jones for not allowing customers to buy bottles to drink on the premises (wine by the glass only) and for not including the price of the tasting in the cost of a bottle. Because of this bad experience, Im not sure well be going back- except to purchase bottles of their delicious Strawberry Serenade!

I brought my 4 year old daughter here for strawberry picking. I thought it would be fun since I loved coming here as a kid. NEVER AGAIN. 2 adults sat on, YES SAT ON my daughter because they were so greedy to get on the "berry ferry". I had to ask the adults to get off my childs leg because they were going to hurt her. I lady laughed like it wasnt a big deal, and the other guy just ignored me until I physically pulled my child away from him. Another couple ran into the same issue with their child. The ferry is in NO WAY SAFE for children. The truck bottomed out 4x on the way back and if I didnt have a death grip on the bar, I would have fallen out.

Buyer beware... If you want a small tree DO NOT cut down your own! You will end up paying 70 bucks for it regardless of the size. If you miss the one and only sign explaining this information like we did you will be screwed. We did not even pass that sign on our way in since there are several different paths out of the parking lot. Never felt so swindled. For pre-cut they were selling similar trees to the Charlie Brown one my daughter picked out for less than a third of the cost. Employees refused to work with us on the way out although we clearly made a mistake. Merry Christmas to you too.

Love this place! I went today for the 3rd or 4th time and still love it. Its cute and cozy but spacious still between indoor and outdoor seating. Everyone is so nice and I like their wine and snacks. Shout out to Henry for being so nice to me and my friend today too! My friend forgot her ID and when we came back with it, he profously thanked us for getting it and coming back! He gave us a free port tasting to show their appreciation - which was delicious by the way, I ended up buying a bottle of it. Will definitely go back!

What a beautiful place and there is such a large selection to choose from. We have been going for over 15 years. We have never had a problem with any of our trees. They last a very long time. We plan on making the trip from Malverne Long Island on Saturday morning, Dec. 5. Looking forward to it. Just gave your name and address to a neighbor. I hope they start the same family tradition we have. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

We thought we were going to a small family farm in Connecticut but this is really an industrial size Christmas tree production farm. Regardless, it was a really fun experience. You can chop your own tree down (any size) or get a pre-cut tree. Theres cider, a bonfire, and dogs are permitted as well!

Visited the vineyard today, what a disappointment! Very rude people there. First of all they do not sell wine by the bottle, only the glass....what??!! Everyone there had an attitude, have they not heard of customer service? Felt as though we bothered them by stopping by. Wont be returning.

Always lots of help, courteous, friendly, know what theyre doing. We put up a tree the day after Thanksgiviing & am taking it down Jan. 14 with regrets - its still quite fresh. Jones Family Farm has become a tradition with our family.

This a great place to get pumpkins ... very family friendly. Be sure to take a tractor ride and try their wine. My kids love coming here and checking out the chickens and piglets. Well organized and clean.

Love the whole experience, my daughter loves it as well, shes 2 years old and always has a blast. Make sure you do the pumpkin picking before the wine tasting as you will be tired from drinking!

They dont allow you to bring your own food and actually turned us away at the door. Not only have they lost my business, but I do not recommend this winery to anyone else!!!
