This is a fairly large recreation center, and this is why Pros: Great location. This place is right next to the Littleton courthouse, and is right next to Downtown Littleton. It can also be accessed from Powers Ave, as well Large exercising space. This has one of the largest exercise machine rooms that I have seen in any public recreation centers. It also has a basketball gym, running track, and a swimming pool with lap lanes, meaning that there is always something to do here Numerous daily activities. Here you can find a lot of programs that are happening or will happen in the near future. This can all be found on the South Suburban calendar, or at the recreation center itself Cons No exterior pool entrance. I find this to be incredibly annoying. The pool is located on the inside of the recreation center past the exercise room, meaning that there is a bit of a maze to get to it. There is also no signs to tell you where the entrance is, meaning that you may get lost if someone doesnt tell you. This isnt too big of a problem for me, but for others who may use the pool frequently it may become an issue over time. Summary Overall, this is a pretty good recreation center. With its ease of access, large amount of activities, and large variety of ways to exercise, you could do pretty much anything here, all within walking distance from Downtown and the Light Rail station. This is fantastic for those who go on daily commutes and need to quickly exercise before work starts

I think the facilities are awesome. There is a balance of activities for old and young. The basketball courts seem to accomodate all ages and groups and the staff is always curteous. My experience with the life guards is that they are constantly circling the pools keeping a watchful eye on misbehaviour and alert to anyone having problems. They enforce the rules of a five minute rest period for those under 18. They do not allow young children in the hot pool. The depth is clearly marked 5 feet at one end. No diving is allowed regardless. Three kids were immediately asked to leave when they jumped in. The jacuzzi feature of the hot pool is excellent and provides those with lower back pain much relief. The temperatures are just right both the hot temp and the low temp for the lazy river section. The private lockable changing rooms are a great improvement over the more public areas of the past. Great facility and responsive staff.

These reviews are useless... Yes there is a great baby pool, starting at zero depth. They also have a small Lazy river thats nice to float around in. It has a couple of neat water features that splash you and what not. Theres plenty of lanes for swimming laps, A great hot tub outdoors, on the patio. Along with a nice heated therapeutic pool for the older folks and those looking to relax in the water. Plenty of swim toys/accessories available. Exercise facilitys are pretty cool, they have a bunch of machines, everything you need to work out. Mechanical ones as well as free weights. Treadmills and cycles. Basketball in the gym... Plenty of good stuff. A decent place to go to. Easy as pie to get to, its not even 5 minutes away from Littleton light rail station. You can see it from the platform.

Buck Rec Center is great! My kids love the babysitting depot, ballet lessons and swim lessons. It is a great place for me to workout, too. Public swimming is fun and they love the Lazy River even if it is a bit chilly at first. (Once you get used to the water it is fine.) It is upsetting that others give bad reviews about well established rules. My children havent been traumatized by hot tub users because kids under 6 arent supposed to go in there for health reasons, so they have never been in there. There is plenty of splashing fun to be had in the kids area. Try it out yourself it is a cheap place for the whole family to enjoy exercising, and they even let you eat your own food at picnic tables on the pool deck or in the lobby area.

My kids cant play in the hot tub because of old people saying "stop splashing us in the face little kids." I just dont know if I can handle it! I just want them to play, and have fun at a pool, but cant they because of the old people at the pool! But now my 3 year old will not touch the water without saying "help me the old people are in there!! mommy stop their going to kill me!!!!" And now I dont know what im going to do about his showers so I just use a little wipes to clean him but he still smells really bad! I feel like a really bad mommy about it.

The lifeguard on duty was very rude, and wasnt doing his job when it came to the kids diving into the lazy river. Not to mention the fact that the water is way to cold for younger children. I couldnt go into the heated pool area even if I wanted to because not only was I told I have to have a therapeutic reason, but kids arent allowed in and as a single mother I didnt have anyone to watch my 2 month old son. I for one will never visit this establishment ever again.

basketball refs in the Wensday night league are a joke..they are the reason no ball players play in that league...horrible...Ive played in leagues all around town and my whole life, and never have I had a crew thats so disrespectful to the players. They love to help determine the outcome of the game, and act like people are there to watch them ref, its a joke..I wouldnt recommend basketball at this place to anyone

I went to this rec center for a couple summers and was not impressed. I get it that they cater to more of an older group, but that is no excuse for the lack of good equipment. The fact that the free weight section is dominated by a smith machines tells a weight lifter all they need to know. If one wants to go to the gym to lift weights; go look for another rec center. It is good for everything else but that.

Very nice facility over all it is clean and has a friendly staff. My rating is based on the fact that the basketball court is rarely open to the public. This is a problem since the gym was made for basketball not silver sneaker activities or whatever else they are using it for. I have stopped coming here for this reason. I have plenty of punches and will come back when the gym is given back to ball players.

I love taking my daughter here. We have been coming for years. Shes 13 and still loves floating along the lazy river and now swimming laps. I like to sit in the corner and read, even though there can be quite a bit of noise from happy kids playing, its still nice to kick back with a book while she plays. I give it five stars because of how much my daughter loves Buck!

Cassey why are you putting your children in a hot tub?????? Clearly you have no clue that the heat from a hot tub can injure young children. The average temp of a hot tub is 104 degrees much to hot for a child. Also, a child is smaller and can more easily drown in a hot tub. If you dont believe me ask your pediatrician.
