As new miniature enthusiasts my daughter and I really enjoyed seeing the museum for the first time. Small but wonderful. The miniatures and houses, especially the Someday House took us some time to look at and enjoy all the tiny details. Its also a great reflection of dolls and toys through time. The Star Wars exhibit was also fun. We thought the house and its history (Pearce McAllister Cottage) is truly the perfect backdrop for such a museum and we loved looking at the Cottage structure itself as much as everything else! Oh the history there. History Colorado should be utterly ashamed of themselves for the lack of care it has given to this 120 year old beauty for the last 25 years. Why have they not committed more effort to preserving this historical home for our children and their children instead of allowing it to fall to such disrepair for an extended period of time? Just shameful.

Okay, so if we are talking about how good of shape the cottage is in, I give it a 2, those 2 for effort to keep it up. But luckily, they are finding a new venue to house their beautiful collection. Currently, under half of their collection is on display, & it wonderfully showcases how culture has changed over time through doll houses, toy trains, dolls, & so much more. When I first came up to it, I thought it would be horrible & creepy. Go inside & see how hard they are trying to preserve history through toys, & you wont want to stop looking around. Their collection includes several doll houses of Native American housing, one of the only 58 in the World Miss. Yokohama dolls (a wonderful display of Japanese culture & shows a bit of history of U.S.-Japan relations.), & a WWI area doll house are among my favorite. This museum is worth a stop!

I brought my two kiddos (girls, ages 4 & 7) and met a friend who brought her two kiddos (boys, ages 3 & 6). I thought the curator was especially kind and considerate--opening the door to us in the rain, and then hanging up my kids rain coats on the coat rack. The collections are so incredible and unique. I was a bit nervous when we first walked in, as there are many signs that say "Please do not touch," but rest assured that exhibits that are "off-limits" are interspersed with quite a few hands-on collections. Ask for the "Scavenger Hunt" pages--this made our visit so much more fun! And we had an engaging, enjoyable time for an hour, but any more would have been a bit of a stretch given the ages of our group.

This museum is a interesting place to see, I went for their Star Wars exhibit. It was a large exhibit that featured all types of Star Wars toys both new and from the original movies that first were shown in the 70s. This museum is in an old house and there was no air condition, so it was hot and stuffy. Plus many of the other exhibits were in the hallways of the house which made walking past other people a tight fit. If you like miniatures, dolls, and other toys, then this place is definitely worth a look.

Theyre currently inn a small house inn Denver but are looking for a new place by the end of the summer. Its amazing--go support them!! Its free, but they take donations and habe a great gift shop. Theres 2 floors with an incredible array of beautiful, unique, funny, and amazing objects.

This was one of my favorite places to visit when we traveled to Denver for the weekend. It is a small museum in a historical home, but there are so many details to marvel at that the size is just right. Youll feel nostalgic seeing your old toys on display or inspired to create a miniature room of your own.

Took my 5 year old, she loved the dolls and toys. There are areas set up for the kids to play and a scavenger hunt. We are enjoying ourselves and would suggest this place. Very unique.

I was a little freaked out by all the tiny eyeballs staring at me, but this place was pretty cool. My traveling buddy absolutely loved it. A whole room of Polly Pockets!
