Titanic Fail... Came out for a tea at the house for my Mothers 77th Birthday. My mother was so excited to go to the house for the first time and was looking forward to the tea upstairs. Unfortunately the weather was bad and half of our party of twelve was not able to make it. The tour was rushed and at while sitting for the tea and listening to the speaker talk about the Titanic we had a woman come in and say that we all had to leave because the next group was waiting for their tea. I asked if we could get a picture of everyone together and the woman once again said that we needed to leave the room for the next party. She finally took a blurry picture of our group. So we gathered all of winter jackets and gloves and headed off down the stairs, however no one told us that we where going the wrong way and my sister with special needs was very scared to go down the stairs due to the handrails that where hard to use. After we made it down to the first floor we could not find the rest of our group so we made our way out to the front of the house walking in the snow and ice only to find no one. It was fifteen minutes before we found out that everyone was still in the house taking the rest of the tour. No helped us out. Very disappointed in this trip. Next time we do a tea we will go the Brown Palace.

We visited on a Saturday afternoon during the summer. The tour guide was rude, spoke too fast, and did not seem to have patience with children. She did offer up interesting facts on Molly Brown, but just graced the surface of Ms. Browns amazing life. The home was not where Brown stayed and therefore, does not really show the character of the woman. She used it as a rental for most of her ownership while she stayed at a hotel when in town. The home itself is dark, cluttered, not ventilated, and small. I would have limited the group to no more than 5 to keep the tour under control and enable more questions and time to look around. The tour itself was rushed and did not feel hospitable. I think that if the tour was revamped to include more personal details about Brown and her family, then it would be more interesting. The carriage house offered more information than the tour did! Also, I think that self guided tours would be more beneficial than the guided tour due to the size of the home. No pictures are allowed, but the home is too dark for pictures. I live in a 1902 Victorian and they are built to let the light in! The museum should open the windows and allow breezes to refresh the stuffy house and reflect sunlight like it was meant to.

Be ware!!! Very disappointing! Its NOT a museum and you are NOT allowed to go in without a guide. I recently planned a visit to the "museum", but when I arrived, I was informed that you must be on a guided tour to see the "museum". And that the last tour started 10 min. prior. It was NOT stated on the website that you MUST be on a guided tour. I explained to the attendant that I probably wouldnt be able to get come to Denver (hadnt been there for 25 years), and that I wouldnt mind joining the tour in progress, as I was only a couple minutes late. The attendant refused to consider the situation and was quite snotty about it. No where on the website does it state that you must be on a guided tour in order to see the museum. If I had known this, I would have altered my plans (to pick up my friend at the airport) to ensure more time to get there. As it was, I ended up spending $85 on a rental car just to see the MB house and was not allowed in. In addition, the "museum" store was 95% on the Titanic, and only a handful of books on Molly Brown herself. This was a total bust... if I ever get back to Denver, which I doubt I will, I wont have the Molly Brown house on my list of sites to see.... VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!

If you love history, Colorado History, and the Titanic, then you will enjoy touring the Molly Brown House. This is the house, restored, of the famous Margaret Brown. Yes, the Molly Brown of the Titanic. The house is easy enough to miss, as its in a residential area, with businesses next door and across the street. The tours are approximately 40 minutes, given by trained docents. There is no air conditioning in the house, so it does get warm or hot, so bring a fan. The house is three levels, but you are only allowed on the first and second floors. They are currently putting in an elevator for handicap access, which currently (July 2017), there is no handicap access. The time parking, and getting to the house, is worth the tour. There is a carriage house in the back, which is a gift shop, and worth your time as well.

Ive had the opportunity to go to the Molly Brown House a couple times in the past two weeks. The first time we took a haunted ghost tour through Cap Hill and the Molly Brown House was one of the stops. The second time was sort of by accident when we were on our way to eat and it was Denvers Night at the Museum where all the museums are free. We walked by and decided to go in . The staff was very friends and could answer all our question. They know everything about Molly and her family. Its very interesting to see her house and how it was decorated back in the early 1900s. Cool piece of Denver history that is worth seeing.

An amazing, eye opening look into the everyday life of the upper class. Especially interesting is the very unique articles of underclothing, corsets and waistline measurement tools for women and little girls. Such as the starter corset for girls around 6 years old. Also the standard "fainting chair" at the top of the stairs for the women. The lower half of womens lungs never developed past their first corset. The upper lungs unable to fully expand with corset in place. Fainting was common. So were smelling salts. Incredible tour. A must see. Incredibly informed tour guides. Have been here many times. It never gets old

I didnt know how fascinating a character she was before I came here, but shes definitely worth learning about. The house is beautiful and kept very close to how it was during Browns life. The tour guides do a great job and its set up with pass-around photos of the house or Browns travels, that sort of thing, so you really get a good sense for how she loved and what things were like. If you have even a passing interest in history or old houses, check this one out. Also, you get a discounted price if youve bought the Mile High Culture Pass. Worth the price of admission.

This was a great tour- the information was interesting, and seeing the house restored to what Ms. Brown had designed it as was great. She had taken photos of each room after shed decorated it, with the color scheme on the back so they were able to recreate it very well. There are a lot of original parts of the house still intact (staircase, fireplace... etc...) and those that are not original, theyve been able to buy to match what she had. Its $8, so its not too expensive- a good way to spend a small amount of money.
