BookCliff has by far my favorite wine in Colorado. The flavors in each wine are complex, rich and deep. My favorite whites are their Viognier (great with seafood!) and Chardonnay (super buttery and rich). I love all the reds but I will buy Fridays Folly just to drink on the patio any day of the week. I love Ensemble with cheese and their Cab Sauv is fantastic with most any meat dish. Their dessert wines are amazing, especially the Late Harvest Muscat Blanc and Finali. Most of their wines are also at an amazing price point that makes them affordable enough to drink a couple times a week. If you buy a case of wine, you become a member of their VIP club, which gets you and all your friends who come with you free tastings at the tasting room, which I love. That also gets you discounts on bottles and glasses. Its a great way to introduce the winery to more people and then get them hooked! In the tasting room, the employees are attentive and knowledgeable, but they give you room to breathe so you dont feel like you have to gulp wine without being able to give it an accurate taste assessment. I love being able to slowly enjoy my wine and still be able to talk to the employees about the flavors, the winery itself, and what the different wines might pair well with. They will also pour you random wines if you choose, so that you have to try to identify the type of grape. The staff make tasting more interesting; they really know their stuff! Since BookCliff moved its location from downtown Boulder, the tasting room can be hard to find, but once youre in the winery, its very cozy. They also have wine-pairing dinners with local restaurants that usually take place in the winery among the tanks, which makes for a very intimate, unique dining experience. They also offer other specials throughout the year, like a chocolate pairing for Valentines Day. You can also buy their wines at the Boulder and Longmont Farmers Markets during the summer, if you dont need to do a tasting. Five stars for sure, but Id give them more if I could!!

I’ve visited their tasting room many times and have never been disappointed. Bookcliff offers a variety of delicious wine. You can literally find one that suites your palate. The servers are also friendly and knowledgeable of the wine they’re pouring. You might also get the chance to look at the fermentation tanks and the oak barrels that are located in the back of the tasting room. If I have relatives or friends visiting from out of town, this is the first place I take them to. You cant go wrong!!!

The best tour of Colorado wines for all tastes! We were familiar with the wine label, having seen it in many of the Denver liquor stores. Going up to the tasting room, we were able to try all the wines - sweet to dry, white and red. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable, letting us taste at our own speed and answering lots of questions. John, the Winemaker and Owner, also grows most of his own grapes in Palisade, so he knows the whole process from soil to cork.

Excellent wine and great people. Go check out the tasting room in North Boulder. Ive had the pleasure of tasting most of BookCliffs wines and they are great! Colorado grown grapes, crushed, aged and bottled in Boulder and a family owned company. This is something you should experience. And you if happen to be in town for one of their wine and food pairings - Wow!

Bookcliff Vineyards and the Tasting Room exemplify all that Colorado wines should be known for. Though most come to the state for fun outside, the state continues to prove that it is a leader in fine food and wine. As someone that has traveled around the world, and loves excellent wine, I know Bookcliff wont let me down. The wines are fantastic! Pure and simple.

Really nice interior with comfy couches and friendly wait staff. The wines here are good but, it is their dessert wines which really steal the show. The tasting flights are inexpensive and generous. $5 for 5 tastes with a taste being a generous half glass of wine. Worth the visit.
