Theres a winery in Truckee? Trust me I was surprised at first too! Truckee River Winerys tasting room is a great place to meet friends for a glass of wine or beer! Relax next to the fireplace or play an assortment of card/board games in their barrel room. Great assortment of craft and local beers, artisan cheese plates & paninis to go with the most important part - the wine! The boutique style, small production wines are made in Truckee with grapes sourced from well known regions such as Santa Lucia Highlands, Chalk Hill and Lodi. Definitely a must while visiting Truckee!

Used to love this place... fun summer spot to bocce ball and BBQ. But the owners daughter Katie ruined it for us. She is the manager and the way she treated my mom was appalling. Katie called the cops on my mom for trying pick up my grandmas credit card that she left behind the day before! She knew who we were, and we called ahead. Unbelievable.

Truckee River Winery is a great place to grab a glass of wine before/after skiing! Try a flight, grab a glass of wine, or share a bottle. TRW also has a great selection of beers for those who arent huge fans of vino and food (paninis, cheese plates, etc.) if youre hungry. Kid/dog friendly. Killer bocce league in the summer time!

We discovered this winery during our visit to South Lake Tahoe. It was a real surprise to find a winery in the area. We tried 5 of their wines and found all to be excellent. We will definitely be back when in the Tahoe area and will recommend it to our friends.
