This rating is for the current 2017 summer fair. It first ever stop with begging outrageously expensive and worse every year. I do with the San Rafael fair was longer than just a weekend because all rides are included in entry. Be ware of what you spend on rides especially wrist band for little ones under 42 inched. There are hardly any rides little ones under 42 inched can go on without an adult and they are requiring adults tho pay full ticket price to go on ride with kids. Then the food is of course ourageous. $10 + for most meals. And beers are $9.00 for small size. No beer aloud in carnival...so drink fast or dont go with kids. Dot ice cream a rip with small size costing $5.00....tip: get small, extra large for $8 is barely bigger... And medium for $6 is an illusion...actually same size. We poured small into all size cups after to see. Also fair still slows vendors to use toxic Styrofoam! This should be banned in this day and age! I dont think Ill be back this year....Im broke after yesterday! But if you go on a budget and run out of money for food, get a stall do you can return and go out to the affordable Papoosa restaurant across the street! Youll save a bundle....

We spent a few days here and found it quite adequate for that time. Its not a resort but is as good or better than some "resorts". Spacing between sites is not bad. Power was very good with readings as high as 123V and stayed above 119V even with several units near us running air conditioners. Water pressure wasnt bad either. The whole place is gravel but then gain...it is a fair ground. It was a bit odd that we had to provide insurance and registration for check in but no big deal. The only demerits were that there wasnt a designated place for pets however the fence line was adequate for our needs. The other issue is the entrance. The transition from street to the entrance is a bit of a jolt to smaller car tires. It felt like I was curb jumping the first time we entered in the car. While the larger RV tires didnt feel the same jolt, be careful when you make a right turn into the entry because you will know if you catch a real curb. All in all, a solid 3 stars which isnt bad at all. We would come back here again if we got back in the area.

DUMBASS Google Map sent me in a bus to the West side, with no Entrance! 5 August 2017. So go around, counterclockwise, to SOUTH SIDE and ASTON avenue , to GATE 7, closest to the RODEO/Rodayo, and a very large dirt lot for trucks, trailers, buses, etc. NORTH SIDE in Main Entrance. EAST SIDE is Main (packed) Parking dirt free lot for cars. Fab little green grass park, DA. PARK, on the SE corner. Paved parking on NORTH SIDE, by NE corner. YES! MUSIC STAGE in NE corner. TAXI DROP at Main or just around NE corner.

We have stayed there several times now and found it adequate. Hosts friendly and facilities worked well. No wifi, but nott a problem as price made up for it. Close to stores and other places in Santa Rosa. Will use again if needed. 2 weeks max allowed to stay before being gone for 30 days. Quiet and all you really need.

One of the best county fairs i been to. Theres lots to do and see here from horse racing to demolition derby and very nice exhibits especially the flower gardens. Made for a great day at the fair we live several counties away worth the trip will go back every year.

Great atmosphere, and lots of room to spread out to enjoy the music when theres festivals. Parking is conveniently located near the entrance to the fairgrounds, and security screening is quick and wont hold you up.

Great place for family ,kid friendly.and clean.lots of food.lots of rides both for the older kids and the young ones.also a lot of stuff to do if your not riding rides.great music also.

This review is for the RV Park only. The park is a basic lot, with hookups. Not a lot to look at, but if youre attending an event at the Fairgrounds, its really convenient.

Really dont like the fact that the fairgrounds raises their prices to some extreme lengths. But there are quite a lot of events held here all year round.
