I really like this dog park, but its not for everyone. I say this because its not enclosed. If you have a wanderer or a dog that doesnt come when called, it would be problematic. Its a beautiful park, but its also located in a canyon. Ive heard from others that coyotes can be a problem. If you have a smaller dog, Id be hesitant to bring them around dusk, which is when coyotes start to come around the outskirts. There have been attacks here- so keep a close eye on smaller dogs and bring them during full daylight hours. All that being said, my dog, who is a little bigger and doesnt wander too far, has a great time here.

I really like the space. Its an open area of Morley Field on the east side of Florida Canyon. The space is set off quite a ways from the road, so there really isnt any traffic to speak of. The only thing Im not in love with is that the area isnt fenced in, so if you have a rambunctious pooch youre going to need to keep a close eye. Other dog parks, notably the one on 6th doesnt have this issue, but it has other trade offs. In short, this is a great space to bring your dog to play off leash. Just keep in mind you need to watch / interact with them.

I always bring my dog here at least 3-4 times a week. You get to start knowing people and most of them are nice. My dog is very ball driven so he doesnt like to play with other while at the park and just is waiting for me to throw the ball so we have to be in an area where there is not a lot of people. It can be a problem when its busy. There is plenty of parking. The only con is because of the drought there is no more grass and its just dirt.

Giant dirt lot with a bunch of room to run. The best thing about this place is the amount of space dogs have to be dogs. Because of this I rarely ever see dog fights. Most of the time they just chase each other around the park till one gets tired. Also, if you like a little trail walk there are some short trails that you can walk when you get here.

I live near by and walk my dog to and around this dog park daily. I prefer other parks that are fenced-in, though. Id let my dog run around off-leash if she werent a runner. Otherwise its a good dog park; big space, has a small grassy area, pretty quiet, has plenty of shades near by, connected to great trails, etc.

While Its not fenced in, our dog doesnt require a fence so its not a big deal, though it would be nice if at least the parking lot was fenced off better. The people and dogs seem to be usually friendly and weve had no problems. There is a water fountain for the dogs. Love how much room there is for them to run!

It is a pretty good place for pups to romp. Beware the overbearing owners that might be there after work on week days. Most people are great but there are a few turds (like anywhere). The city is no longer watering the grass and it is all dirt now.

Nice, open sandbox. Cleaner than others Ive been to. Regret not coming more often when there was grass. Its not really ”fenced in”, but its not next to a busy street either.

This was my local dog park. It had become a dust bowl since the park stopped watering the field. Park staff seems to be very aggressively rude to dog owners. Not sure why.

This park was awesome at one time. All the grass has disappeared and left a field of dirt. My dog doesnt seem to care about the dirt only.
