If I lived nearby, Id be here all the time. The sound of the waves is soothing enough on its own, but its also absolutely gorgeous. The color of the water is unbelievable...something we New Englanders think exists only in fiction. It looked like a great spot for surfing, though I wasnt as brave or wetsuit-equipped as those who were enjoying that here. Overall, a great place to spend a few spare hours! (And it smelled much less fishy here than a mile or two north...in case that makes a difference to you, as it definitely did to me!)

Gorgeous park situated along coast walk and in a grassy, lowered place. People will be walking by above the park along the coast walk. Sometimes they will stop to look a wedding happening. It’s a great spot for a wedding, general photo taking, a picnic, or even a nap. The view is stunning , and the sound of the ocean is so peaceful. Enjoy. *****

Our family loves this place and we come every chance we get either for a walk or simply to sit on the grass and enjoy the vast open view of the ocean and shore. Im probably somewhat biased as our wedding took place here but this view is so recharging that a half hour here can clear a week of stress at work. Simply magical!

This beach front area is postcard perfect! Picnic with the family on the grass. Scramble down the cliff and play in the shore-break. Grab a bench and just sit and watch the seals and boats go by. Only bummer is that parking is limited so go on off peak hours (weekdays and early morning weekends).

Great view of the waves and the lush flora makes it perfect for taking pictures. Parking is a pain, so you spend a lot of time looking out for cars pulling out of parking spaces on the street. Residents may have signs redirecting traffic to find parking away from the park or La Jolla cove.

Fabulous views and a great place for a family picnic, bring your own grill. My grandkids giggled the whole time and I spent quality time with the ones I love, couldnt have asked for anything more! On our way home he stopped a baskin robbins (31 flavors)for a rainbow cone

The views are to die for. One of the great places to see for-real California coastal tide pools. Check the tide charts and go at low tide for a real treat. Amazing how few people take short hike down from the side-walk to actually see what is there at waters edge.

Plenty of beach with nice sand too. The waves crashed quite hard and fast in this area so the childrens pool (north a bit) is a good spot for those with younger kids otherwise keep a close eye on them. Parking can be difficult to find, but not impossible.

This is a cant miss park. The views here are sweeping and beautiful. South end of the park allows access to the rocks and some tide pools. Only a few blocks down the hill from the center of town. Dont miss Point Mencinger for your chance to see the seals!

Nice little park that was way less crowded than Scripps Park and the Cove. Plenty of parking down this way and right next to the tide pools. No seals or seal lions here, but there were people watching for whales. Wish I had brought binoculars!

Great view all along the beach. There are many benches along the walkway and some areas where you can go down onto the rocks below and explore tide pools. Great scenic route for a run as well although streets and walkways can get busy.

Very nice place to walk and enjoy panoramic views of the Ocean, beach, an occasional sea lion resting on the rocks. The air is fresh coming off the Ocean but can be slightly chili towards evening. And of course the best sun sets

Amazing panoramic views which you can literally stare at all day. One star knocked off for the bucketloads of tourists taking photos and the dog owners who casually let their dogs crap on the beautifully kept grass.

This place is awesome, has great views! Just a short walk from the sealion rock. It does get breezy/windy. If you get cold easy Id suggest a light jacket, unless its peak of summer haha
